Mnet releases Jonghyun’s MV and making-of film for bonus track “Fortune Cookie”

Jonghyun has dropped an exclusive music video for one of his bonus tracks, “Fortune Cookie” from his solo debut album BASE as a part of his first appearance for Mnet’s entertainment program 4 Things Show.

In the video released exclusively through Mnet on January 13th, the singer sensually sings to the R&B track while lounging on a white bed while the projected patterns and colors follow the rhythm and lyrics of the song.

Jonghyun recently made his solo debut with the release of his first solo album BASE on January 12th, with many of his songs topping real-time charts. He also released a music video for his pre-release track “Deja-Boo” with Zion.T as well as for his track “Crazy” featuring IRON.

Mnet has also released a making of video for “Fortune Cookie,” in which fans are given a closer look at Jonghyun’s hard work as he practices singing and his playful side as he teases and laughs with the staff.

Finally I hear "Fortune Cookie" with my own ears and it is a jam of D'Angelo-esque proportions.
Apparently, the lyrics are really sexual compared to the other 7 songs on the album, but no one's translated them or any of Jjong's lyrics--save for Deja-Boo, Crazy, or Hallelujah. :(

"the thing in your hand" part is referring to the fortune cookie that the person he's speaking to is holding in their hand, i think. if it's supposed to be a symbol for something else then i have no clue lmao
