Poll: If you were to be born again, which country would you want to be born into?

1. Germany/Sweden 48%
The ideal social welfare

2. Canada/Australia 19%
Gifts of nature, best natural environments

3. South Korea 17%
Korean even when born again!

4. Denmark/Bhutan 7%
The happiest countries in the world

5. America/China 4%
The strongest leaders of the world

6. Italy/France 3%
The center of art and culture

7. Other 2%

8. Brazil/Spain 1%
Free spirited passion

-

1. [+116, -9] Honestly surprised that Korea even has that many votes

2. [+87, -12] Not Korea, that's for sure

3. [+81, -3] When I look at the state our country is in, I am so apologetic to our ancestors who risked their lives to fight for our protection and independence

4. [+16, -0] I like our country but departing from all the issues in our government, economy, and culture, the one thing I hate specifically about Korea is the Korean mindset... People are so stubborn and closed minded and care way too much about what other people think and are obsessed with physical beauty... I'd rather be born somewhere in Europe because of that. I'm so jealous of how open minded they are and understand that communication is key.. They're not afraid to express what they see, how they feel.. I'm always so impressed whenever I read anything by Europeans.. Koreans can never come up with the type of expressions that they can. Korean is a beautiful language but our mindset is not at all beautiful.

5. [+16, -1] I voted for Canada and Australia. I'd rather live seeing the beautiful natural environment. They also have better social welfare than Korea.

6. [+13, -1] Germans get paid well, get off work at 3/4 PM (no ifs ands or buts), high taxes but low price rates, lots of discounts, lots of tax returns, big pensions upon retirement... Korea's the opposite in all of that.

7. [+9, -2] I'd rather just not be born. Living life like this again? No thanks..

8. [+7, -0] I must escape this country

9. [+7, -2] Just being born again is painful enough as it is

10. [+7, -2] If you're guaranteed to be rich, I wouldn't mind being born again in Korea. Otherwise I'd choose any country on that list except Korea.

Lord I use to ask myself this question..Being black and living in America is proving to be like a game of dodge ball. Maybe Sweden....Maybe South Africa(MAYBE)

Which country pays women really well??

norway or finland

i would never like to be born in poland if i had to chose, esp considering whats going on here rn... everyone my age is seeking an opportunity to flee somewhere else, most likely western europe. ever since poland joined european union it got to the point that actual population is on the decline. in uk alone there are now millions of poles, wtf.
there's even this social phenomenon happening called euro-orphans. it's when already settled down adults, who happen to be  parents, try their luck in a different (rich european) country, leaving their kids behind without much support (except money of course). i've seen 9 years old kids going through this...
tho i understand their decision. considering 1€=4zloty (dunno, maybe less, around 3,5?), and a lot of jobs in poland could only get you up to 1000zl while in other european contries is  1000€. it's not like getting a job in poland is easy either... i'm actually seriously considering moving to different country, poland is a shithole.

Oh wow I didn't know the effects of Poland joining the EU were that bad. I had heard there had been some economic stagnation but I just assumed that was because of all the transition costs of joining. This is very interesting.

This is an interesting poll, but idk. Tbh I don't think it necessarily matters where you were born, but probably more where you grew up, lived, are a citizen, etc. Any country you're born into/grow up in you'll find things to love and things to criticize. i always think of that song 'Merican by The Descendants, you can find the flaws in your country while still having pride in it and loving it.

In the past, maybe I would have said China, or Japan. As I get older, I realize even if I was born there, it didn't mean my life would have been better or worse. I realize now it's more that I want to know the Chinese or Japanese languages when I was young, before coming to this country. There's a large Chinese population here. II know Chinese, I would have more job opportunity. I don't mean better paid, I just mean more places to apply to.

Meh, now I just want to be better at speaking English. Have less of an accent. It's hard to know how my life will turn out.
