Internationally, a lot of hip-hop artists look to America for inspiration. Sometimes it’s not so obvious, but these Korean rappers (and Japanese—the last two rappers in the posse cut are Japanese) don’t hide their sources. They are signed to HI-LITE Records, and judging by the live footage, they’re stars in South Korea. It may sound like a rip-off to some, but these guys pull it off pretty well. Above, it sounds like we have the Korean equivalent of OG Maco’s “U Guessed It.”
Props to Jon Tanners, Matt Colwell, and Kazz Laidlaw for the heads up.

OP Note: I saw this in my FB newsfeed earlier today, and thought it was interesting, especially in light of the Ebony article that was recently posted. I love OG Maco's U Guessed It, and while the Korean/japanese song is a blatant rip-off, I enjoyed it. They had a swagger to them that sold the video for me. Also I really love the collaboration between Japanese and Korean artists with the flow staying fluid. That was amazing for me.
Curious about the lyrics, but I doubt they any more depth to them than the original lol. I don't care about that 1llionaire song, and the MAMA performance was alright. Bobby brought the right energy to it, but it just wasn't doing anything for me as a song.
