Abnormal-Summit

JTBC’s “Abnormal Summit” revealed the identities of the new panels many have been waiting for. The new members are each from Russia, Australia, and Nepal, and have appeared in the show as guest panels for previous episodes. The new members all showed great proficiency in Korean and have been complimented by netizens as compatible with the other panels.

The Russian panel, Ilya Belyakov, is from Vladivostok and works as a medical translator in Korea. He came to Korea 11 years ago and revealed that he wants to break prejudices of Russia and talk about Russia’s relationship with American and China.

Russia

The new Australian panel, Blair Williams, is from Brisbane and double majored in political science and Korean at University of Queensland. He is currently working at a company in Korea. He had attracted many viewers with his cute look when he came out as a guest panel for the episode aired on December 1.

Nepal

Soosan Shaki from Nepal came out as a guest panel in the most recent episode of “Abnormal Summit” in which the panels talked about philanthropy. He first came to Korea in 2010, and is attending Dangook University in Seoul. He wishes to talk more deeply about Nepal, which is an unfamiliar country to many Koreans.

The episode featuring the new panels will air January 12 at 11 p.m. KST.

1. [+3,994, -86] Great, great!!! Definitely looking forward to future talks!

2. [+3,750, -103] I really like the Australian guy. He was fun on the previous episode.

3. [+2,991, -187] Awww, I wanted Mark to be a fixed cast... Maybe he's too busy because he's a CEO??

4. [+1,967, -51] Wow, looking forward to it~~~ ^^

5. [+1,862, -56] Seems like an okay line-up, will be watching! ^^

6. [+819, -27] Having Russia and Nepal feels like the cast has more variety now. Before, it felt too biased towards European/English speaking countries.

7. [+787, -18] The Nepalese man is so good at Korean. His pronunciation is obviously foreign but the way he constructs his sentences basically sounds like a Korean person.

8. [+683, -21] I'm really glad about the Nepal addition because I don't know much about Nepal but now I can learn.

9. [+629, -17] Oh, good good.. Hearing stories about Nepal really helped me learn a lot. It helps so much considering Nepal isn't that known compared to the other countries.

10. [+481, -17] Really looking forward to the Nepal addition!

So Bumdi is still the only one subbing (or maybe not anymore even) Abnormal Summit? :(

I don't think Bumdi is subbing the show anymore...
The latest episode posted on Bumdi is episode 19 and published on 12 November 2014.

I also tried looking for Abnormal Summit with English Subs but I couldn't find any. If anyone knows where to watch the show in English Subs, please shareeeee!! Thanks! =D

Yeah i dont know if he/she even interested in the project anymore with all the scandals.
Couldn't ask unless i want to be bombarded with bunch of "ungrateful" and "rude" comments.
I wish someone would pick up this show though, but since bumdii doing it, I think a lot of people are gonna back off until bumdii say something

I thought it was published on 11.12? Yeah, I looked it up, it was published in December. And then they released a bunch of Genius videos...I was hoping they were on a break.

Oooops! I might have seen the date publish wrongly! My bad! =\

I am just praying hard that Bumdi will be subbing those episodes between the one that was uploaded to till date.

I think they need South asian ppl more than anyone else tbh. It doesn't really make sense to have so many poeple of non-asian origins whereas asian ethnies are much more present in SK.

I think they want panelists of countries they want to know more about?
I saw some comments expressed wanting SEA reps, but overall they not dying of thirst over though

Technically Nepal is south asian but it's culture is very distinctly different from the other major south asian states like India,Pakistan and Bangladesh because of the Chinese influence. It would be nice to see more desis on the show,I'd be all for it

What is with the animator from Peru who was supposed to come :(
i think bumdi is still subbing the show, but slowly. especially because of the genius and christmas/new year. If he stopped, he would have spoken up on twitter.

thank you.

I'd really like to see more women as well, even just as guests, but I think they really want to keep the G11 all men because it's supposed to be like that other show that was really popular some years ago, where they only had women. It's such a shame though, sometimes they're having discussions and I really feel like having a woman there would bring some great input.

I'm sure you've probably heard this before but there was misuda from a few years back, even though it's not the same format/ touch on super serious issues but they had a good variety of panelists.

I would like women as guests but not as a fellow panelist on this show. It'll probably mess with the camaraderie for one and I'd rather not have a token girl cast member ala Jihyo on Running Man (and numerous other varieties). Also the guys tend to go off tangent that a girl in the mix would be kind of, idk, jarring? But again, I would like them to have more women guests.

Where do they find these amazingly handsome men and why can't I also have them in my country?
(I wish there was a portuguese representative....)

The Japanese actor they brought on that one time was the best guest, but of course Takuya's in that spot.

I'm excited for the Russian guest, in the US there's soooooo much misinformation about Russia.

Tbf, there's quite a bit of misinformation about the U.S. (and the West in general) in Russia as well.
