Lee Joon Offered Lead Role in New SBS Drama ‘I Heard Some Rumor’

Lee Joon has been asked to star in SBS’ upcoming drama I Heard Some Rumor (translated) and is considering the offer.

An affiliate of SBS told Newsen on January 2, “It’s true that we made a casting offer to Lee Joon for I Heard Some Rumor. However, it has not been confirmed yet.”

The affiliate added, “Lee Joon has no agency as of right now so he will be giving us his answer once he finds an agency.”

Meanwhile, I Heard Some Rumor is the new collaboration project of writer Jung Sung Joo and Ahn Pan Suk PD, who produced JTBC’s A Wife′s Credentials and Secret Love Affair together, and it is a dark comedy satirizing the materialistic minds of the upper class.

Yoo Ho Jung has been confirmed as the lead actress Choi Yeon Hee while Lee Joon has been offered to take the role of Choi Yeon Hee’s son.

I read on dramabeans that the drama is actually mainly going to handle about teen pregnancy so this could get really interesting.

That's interesting because he was also in Jungle Fish 2 which dealt with teen pregnancy/suicide/a lot of other dark themes. Would definitely recommend if you're interested!

I'll do 4-8 eps and see if I'll continue... Joon is a really good actor. I like seeing him get roles and with each one he's improving and expanding.

i think you can trust the writer, it probably will be far from usual k-drama rich people realness, i mean the stuff that was in heirs or secret garden etc. secret love affair did rather well in that aspect, showing rich people rather down to earth way... at least imho
