The plot summary is a lie...what's important here is that apparently everything Cha Ki Young was going through really happens to women in Korea. Also after all that drama I'm not even mad the show went for a general happy ending (even if Eun Cha winning by 97% to pass her law and their non traditional family unit was unrealistic). I am curious how closely they followed the book.

YAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS
Date: 2015-01-02 10:23 am (UTC)This show was really good! It was crazy, but if you give up on logic it's a super fun watch!
I liked that it was fresh, funny, and VERY ridiculous. (In my heart I choose to believe the screenwriter was making fun of Korean society's need to over react to celebrity news).
I LOVED the first half, but TY turned craaaaazy (and brought a long that mess of a wife) and spoiled and everyone let him be and then the plot took a huge nosedive. I think the only way to like the 2nd half is to believe that it was satire on women's rights issues in Korea.
The end was foolishness, although I was sure she would sty with baby daddy just because the other guy wasn't really an option.
A for effort & uniqueness.

Date: 2015-01-02 11:04 pm (UTC)I wish the end would have an extension or something. Every episode was a mess but I was so excited to what would happen next. It's a very interesting watch in my opinion and the actors/actresses did well, specially Jo Eun Cha. Dang, he's such a great actor.
I'm sad that it ended, though I had to wait a whole week to see just an episode and then wait another week to see the other one.
If you're a dramatic/tragic/ridiculous/unrealistic drama addicted, then you should watch it. If not, then whatever.. just watch it!

Date: 2015-01-03 12:30 am (UTC)Sadly, it went downhill after the ridiculousness of everything with all the makjang plots.
I wish they fleshed out myung yi more because her arc was so interesting. I sorta wish that she did end up giving birth but it wasn't really Taeyun's and then tries to kidnap Dan for his DNA when the family questions the legitimacy of the her child, preferably daughter, (i chose daughter because I want the show to delve deeper into gender inequality because let's face, taeyun's noona wasn't portrayed as a serious and effective feminist.)
And what is taeyun's character ?
