1. [+7,353, -521] Could barely hear Tiffany, Seohyun, and Taeyeon's adlibs at the end of Mr. Mr. It's not that they weren't singing, they were actually singing very hard, just that the sound system sucked so hard. Their mics frustrated me so much.

3. [+260, -14] Hwanhee didn't seem in the best of conditions. Taeyeon worked hard and Chen matched well with 'Breath'. And having a woman sing The One's parts just made Hwanhee have to sing as loud as he could like his throat was ripping ㅠㅠ

4. [+41, -1] Should've just kept the male and female parts as they are like 'Breath'. Hwanhee had multiple concerts, he didn't seem in the condition to be capable of pulling off all the high notes. And Taeyeon got stuck with the male parts..

5. [+35, -2] Breath was great! But Like a Star should've been kept as is. The part distributions were done poorly. Hwanhee did parts Taeyeon should've done...

All these people praising their stage... it wasn't bad but really they were lacking. It was very boring and they had no power at all. Taeyeon was really... "sica-ing" it during MR.MR. Though she and the rest of them are probably fucking exhausted.
The only members I saw giving any personality was like Sunny, Hyoyeon, and Yoona...

Jessica's absence was also very obvious but hey, at least they managed to not sound completely horrible. I don't mind Yuri doing Jessica's "neon moreun cheok" because it matches her own part anyways so not much a big deal to me but I'm iffy about Sunny doing her "wae neon" part because the pitch just sounds weird...Even though she did put her own spin on it. I think I would have preferred Taeyeon or Sooyoung doing that part. But then again, Taeyeon was seriously nhf that performance at all, she did not even bother to try. Sooyoung and Yoona did well with Jessica's smaller parts and Seohyun would have sounded so much better do Jessica's ad libs if her mic didn't suck so badly OTL Speaking of that, those mics were so off though, like can't we get a proper sound system here? -.-"

That dance break needed more energy and synchronization. I didn't particularly like the outfits but they do kind of match the Christmas theme. All in all, their performance was just lukewarm. I'm just hoping that they'll actually bring it next year.

I think sunny did sica's parts pretty well, they have similar singing tones (while sica's is a little higher/nasal-ish)which is why I think sm gave sica's important parts to sunny imo

The white dresses are hideous and the performance, as a whole, was piss poor.

If there is one thing that Hyo should always get credit for, it's been the only member guaranteed to give it her best efforts (or far more likely, just being such a terrific dancer that her half-assing still looks fab.) With a little help from Sunny this time, they were the only ok part.

Edit: actually the dance break is so shockingly terrible that it kind of transcends into being funny.

Nah, with one or two exceptions most of the members were phoning it in, the vocals were mediocre, and the dance break made me laugh.

There were at least a couple better female idol performances at this Gayo (although in general the stages were lackluster).

Those dresses are too long and overpowering for them. The one short dress looks odd among the longer dresses. I really like the dresses 3rd and 4th from the left, but they would look better hemmed. When a dress is too long, it just swallows the wearer.

As another commenter mentioned, Sunny was legit off by a whole beat during most of the song. I can't tell if it was exhaustion, confusion caused by exhaustion, or if she was just having an off day.

I'm not a Sone so I have no idea where Jessica was in the choreography but as a whole the group seemed tired. idk what the netizens were seeing but SNSD were not a class above the rest.

these netizens... this is why i no longer believe the hype, are we watching the same performance? lackluster as hell, vocals were not those of a top tier girl group. jessica gave probably 10% energy and 90% boredom but it was still better than what sunny did. i dunno man, this was a mess, make way for other girl groups who want this more than you do already.

also the breath perf with chen was embarrassing tbh taeyeon sounded really bad to me, i just wanted liyin back or a chen solo.

Those white dresses are hideous and their stage outfits looked just as terrible (what were their stylists thinking?! -.-''). The "Mr.Mr."-performance was super lackluster. Half of them looked bored and/or tired (maybe sick too?), the choreo was out of synch and nobody of them can replace Sica (even though Sunny makes a nice effort, but doesn't come close; Yuri is even worse).

I was actually looking forward to Taeyeon's duets, but I'm pretty disappointed. Taeyeon's voice is no match for Chen's or Hwanhee...both overpowered hers. They should have chosen different partners for her other other songs.

The white dresses look hideous. Seohyun was the only one looking good but her dress literally fell apart on the red carpet, lol.

The performance was just a mess. Hyoyeon, Yuri and Yoona were the only one actually giving a shit and the rest of them was just nhft. The outfits were horrible, it looks like a red diaper with diamonds glued to it and a blouse 2 sizes to big.

I definitely missed Jessica in this performance, she didn't give it her all most of the time either but I just can't with the other people covering her lines and doing a poor job. I need them to record a new song as OT8 fast because their old songs are just not doing it for me anymore. The dance break was so disorganized and sloppy and beside the slightly longer dance break this looked like any other music show performance instead of a year end one.

I will never get use to sunny doing jessica's part tho and damn SONE should be thanking high heavens they have the dance line, Hyo killed the dance break. I was so annoyed with everyone on twitter acting like Tiffany mistake was cute, it was an extra 8 count not a new routine, I don't see any cute in that, it wasn't cute 7 years ago, it's not cute now, Taeyeon had her head down most of the time, Sunny was just going through the motions. Like it's a 3min performance, put in some damn effort.

It just bothers me because as soon as someone in the dance line pitch is off fans cry about them being useless, but you got half of the vocal line onstage not giving a shit about the actual performance. And fans making up excuses why they can't be bothered to do a 3 min performance

It wasn't as horrendous as everyone is dramatically making it out to be. It wasn't good, the energy level is non existent, and while I know they're exhausted and probably have a more demanding schedule than most groups, it's hard to believe the level of effort that has been given for a while.

As always Hyoyeon gives her best and she (and Yoona) keep the group from total disaster in this one. It wouldn't have mattered if Jessica was there (she would have been no different), but if SNSD want to go out well they really need to push themselves for this last year.

Or just give me SHY. At least the dancing will be good.

Eh...that's all I really have to say. Outfits were horrible and the sound system was a joke, but honestly, apart from people covering Sica's lines, I didn't see much difference from the original Mr. Mr. performances -- which is bad, because this general IDGAF/half-assing seems so normal for most of them now that it's expected, lol.

Here's to hoping that the SN8D release next year might actually be exciting/have them give a shit, and good luck to Taeyeon for her solo (sorry but she's probably going to need it if she keeps sounding like she did here, ngl).
