I'm about to go to sleep (sad I'll miss the first part of this FFA!) but my family won't be celebrating Christmas until Saturday. This year I've designed a Running Man-eque "Reindeer Games" (With a "Grinch Who Stole Christmas" secret mission) for my family to participate in and if everything works out well I have a feeling that it's going to be amazing! (14 people so far...*whew*)

Date: 2014-12-25 05:15 am (UTC)I'm not getting anything on Christmas day because I ordered my gifts a little too late and they will arrive sometime between the 31st and 6th. I'm finally getting new bedroom furniture: a headboard that doubles as a bookshelf (I'm in desperate need for a place to put all my KPOP albums), a bed frame that doubles as a dresser, and a thick-ass memory foam mattress. I don't think I've been this excited for Christmas gifts since I was a child.

Date: 2014-12-25 05:21 am (UTC)I was in my room, stewing but not really doing anything to create problems and she asked what was wrong, so I told her that I wasn't enjoying the kids being there (they're the neighbors, not family, but it's still not there fault so I'm wretched, I know). So she told me a few things, like how I'm cold and stuff, and went on her way. Like 10 minutes later she comes back and asks if I want to play the racing game (Nintendoland), and I was in the middle of playing Dragon Age but I said 'sure, let me finish what I'm doing and I'll get everything set up.' I told her when everything was ready and she didn't come back. Then she goes to my dad and starts saying how she NEEDS to go to the bar (my mom's an alcoholic, she was already drunk, and most of my issues with my mother stem from her drinking) and she NEEDS to play pool and blah blah blah. My dad took her, but he asked why she was upset, so I told him what happened.
I'm not 100% sure I was the cause, but I'm dreading her drunken return home, because she'll probably want to start some drama.

Date: 2014-12-25 05:21 am (UTC)I took off the last two weeks of the year from work and it has been wonderful. I feel like I've been going non-stop since I graduated college 3 years ago. Although I can't complain too much, I started my new job in June and they sent me to Hong Kong and Thailand already. But the traveling sucks, I don't know how idols do it day in day out. I get on a warpath if I don't get at least 4 hours of sleep.
I've been meaning to ask this, do any of you think that groups that have more members do better on the charts because they're able to get more fans due to the fact that they have so many people to choose from? Obviously talent and quality of work goes into play, but I wonder if the SM groups like SJ, SNSD, and EXO do so well is because they have upwards of 13 members + sub groups and are able to get more fans?
Let me know if I should move this somewhere else... I am truly curious.

Date: 2014-12-25 05:25 am (UTC)Really, most success comes from good promotion and just catching that lightning in a bottle. Cases in point, GG, SJ and EXO were not mega-successes out of the box. Once they got that ONE song that people started gravitating towards is when things started to really ramp up.
