Jackson Sobs Uncontrollably When Reunited with His Mom in “Roommate”



GOT7’s Jackson finally got the chance to reunite with his mom in “Roommate 2.”

In the episode of SBS’s “Roommate 2” aired on December 23, the crew planned a Christmas party to spend time with their friends and family.

On the day of the event, Park Jin Young visited the share house with Jackson’s invitation, brining along a very special gift with him. Knowing how much Jackson missed his parents in Hong Kong, he had brought them over as a surprise.

Park Jin Young, Jo Se Ho, and Lee Dong Wook decided to hold a prank cam to intensify the dramatic effects for Jackson’s reunion with his parents. Rather than letting him know about his parents’ arrival, they requested for him to send his mom a letter through the camera instead. When Jackson started crying during the message, his surprise visitor stepped into the house.

Jackson ran into his mother’s arms the moment he saw her, and started sobbing. His parents, too, started shedding tears, while holding their son.

Jackson, who has been missing his mom, said, “This is like a dream,” unable to stop crying. His roommates, too, started to tear up while watching the touching scene of Jackson’s reunion with his parents.

Joon Hyung gets an honorable mention for being his awesome self and constantly giving Jackson support throughout the entire episode. Also, my love for Jackson in this episode. He's such a good kid. I hope other companies would watch this and see how hard it is for these kids (especially the foreign ones) to leave their families and not get to see them for a very long time.

I watched it last night and he didn't even make it over to them before I was crying. Just his face when he saw his mom..... For all these idols, seeing how easily they cry because they miss their families, it always gets me. You can be around a billion people and still feel alone.

I watched this earlier this morning and it broke my heart and made me so happy for Jackson at the same time. He's been working so hard and got the most wonderful well deserved gift plus a rookie award nomination. His mom is beautiful. I could only dream of having that type of relationship with my mom. Thankfully I got to have some type of closeness with my dad before he passed. It's too bad his brother couldn't make it.

She was so proud of it, too! They have such an awesome friendship. I don't care too much about the romantic stuff, I just want to keep this friendship for as long as they can because they're such a good source of support for each other.

it's really great that jyp did this for jackson (i hope all foreign idols get it sometime too), but does anyone else feel this was a little exploitative? Like, why do all those cameras and people need to be there for such a personal moment? I wish they could have met privately before hand or something.

JYP did a good thing arranging their visit...if not for that stupid prank and then Roommates wanting to do a family episode when they know they have foreigners in the cast (assholes) JYP probably wouldn't have thought of this...it's a good publicity stunt but win-win so I'll let it go

Knowing how much JYP loves his kids, I wonder if he was pissed when he saw that episode where they pranked him. Because if I were in his shoes, I would be livid that they would exploit one of my kids like that. I'm glad that he was the one that did it because I don't want that crew to get credit for bringing my parents to him when they did what they did.

Man I was crying non-stop. Jackson looked so out of it the whole episode and when Seho parents gave him that gift, I know he was thinking about his family and missing them. Joon is a great guy, he was there for Jackson the whole way and God Bless JYP, I never knew he was such a cool dude but I like him so much more and he honstly cares for his artists. Jackson is the sweetest seeing how he took care of his mom (him getting her a pillow and rubbing her feet) man he's going to treat some woman right one day. Seho almost destroyed the moment for me like he made it so awkward and Jackson looked so unamused.

Seho's mom was wonderful saying that even if she isn't his mom she still loves him and will cheer him on. I think this episode we got to see the more pensive side of Jackson, too. I think he really missed his parents and seeing everyone with their family he probably felt a little sad. He's said it so many times how much he thinks and wonder if it was a mistake to leave everything to pursue this career. And when he was with his mom, he was just adorable. He loves her so much. Joon was the absolute best. His no nonsense love was great.

Before this I really didn't know what to think of JYP either. I just knew that Wooyoung loves him and looks up to him, but I never really paid attention to him. After this, I definitely like him a lot more. I know he's tough on his kids, but he really does love them. Brownie points all around for The Asiansoul.

When Dongwook and Nana made comments about Jackji it was funny and cute. I just feel like Seho is forcing it so that he's relevant which is so annoying. I won't lie, I think they're cute together and would make a cute couple, but in reality, I know how ridiculous the industry is. For both their sake, I'd rather them be the best of friends than get involved romantically and lose all of that. I'm glad that even with all the rumors, the two of them haven't let all of that affect the way they are around each other.
