After School's Jooyeon will leave After School after completing contract with Pledis Entertainment.

Jooyeon's contract with Pledis will expire on 31st December, after completing the contract she will focus in her acting career.

Jooyeon debuted as a member of After School in 2009, let's wish her a bright future after graduating from the group.

That's seriously the worst part of this grad system. They never give them proper goodbyes, and fans are always the last to "know": usually there are endless rumours that some poor fan spends months denying until the member "offically" leaves :(

I know there were rumours of her (and UEE) leaving, but I'm still sad to she her go.
I hope she doesn't end up like Kahi (although I do believe Kahi is happy and a in a good place, and that JY doesn't deserve a more successful career than Kahi)...or worst Bekah(again, yes, she's "happy" too).

Honestly, I'm hoping for a mini SJS next year. Kpop gods, make it happen.

not surprised as uee, jungah and jupal have been awfully emotional lately, plus their last vacation together didn't seem like their previous ones due to all their messages. jungahand uuee's contracts are ending soon as well, i hope all of them graduate the group and leave the company, especially uee after this ungrateful company is doing to her.

With all the work on Jungah's face, Pledis won't be letting her leave (without paying back the $ and interest).
I like Uee in the group though, although her vocals are only slightly better than Jooyeon's. But I think she's the next to go.
Uee is probably the most prepared to go into Acting with her resume

I'm not really surprised. It's sad if she can't have a least one proper comeback before leaving the group... Pledis hasn't really managed to deal with the graduation concept. It's more a "forget about this one" concept.
It feels weird since she was there from the beginning but she wasn't giving much to the group. Is she ok as an actress? I wish her good!

Pledis is tragic when it comes to managing AS. They do decent with OC so how can they fail so badly with AS. I stanned them briefly during Bang! but it all went to shit right after. How sad that they haven't even had a Korean tour. The graduating part of the group really works against them in kpop where you need to start building your fanbase from the beginning and thereon to be make it. Constant change is not taken well there. It works better in Japan since they are used to it.

It really is ridiculous that AS is being pushed out in favor of OC, and I say that as a fan of OC but since, apparently, they've been having OC members introduce themselves as from it instead of AS then the pushout makes even more sense.

JungAh, Jooyeon & UUE don't deserve this! None of the others do but especially not the 1st & 2nd gen. girls. And AS slowly crumbling into OC is even more insulting considering how AMAZING 'Dress to Kill' was. I can't believe this XP

I thought uee might be next but although I was surprised to read joo might be next, I'm not exactly going to miss her...idk if that's something to do with being a relatively new fan who hasn't been through any grads/admits. I'm more interested to see if they'll wait til somebody else leaves before bringing in a new member or if they do it soon. Their massive intake in their first few years followed by one a year for a while really intrigued me so I'm interested to see how the next set goes.

I was the biggest fan of AS (kinda still stan) but like... they've done nothing for so long. I feel like once the Gen 1&2 girls are all gone, I'll turn in my stan card and move on. Bekah was a lot of the reason I started caring about AS but without her and the originals, I won't care. It's not even the same group anymore, sound or image-wise.

It's insane how Orange Caramel had 4 fucking singles this year and AS had none. Who the hell does that?? Seriously, this group's management is a hot mess. OC should have split off from the main group a LONG time ago. Someone give those poor maknaes some fucking screentime. Make Eyokan lke 15& or something, this is just sad.

And pathetically I've been thirsting over Jupal since the Flashback MV. Sigh... their Weekly Idol episode was hilarious too.
