Watch on Gooddrama|Viki

In the early 1980s, there were five friends who ran an illegal broadcasting station.
Back then, the world was much simpler.
It was clear what had to be defended and fought for.
The way to go forth was like a straight line.
But reality destroys ideals.
Time teaches one about betrayal and compromise.

Now, their children have grown up to their twenties.
One of them became an agent who steals the secrets of others at night.
Another is a paparazzi who digs for information about others behind their backs.
In this damned world left behind by their parents,
political and societal justice are just unlucky words to them.

But there is one person who will take them forward. Thanks to him…
These children now start to harbour the same dreams as their parents. A dream to become a real reporter.
But in order to become true reporters, there is a wall that they have to overcome.
This world that their parents have shaped and left behind for them.

Will these children be able to become the real reporters that their parents once dreamed of?
Will they be able to untie the knots of the past and change the world?

The world messed with us first,” one person among us said.
No, it is us who have sinned against the world,” yet another person said.
- Hwang Jin Woo, from “Within the Broad-leaved Forest”

I have null interest in the 1980-story :(
Everything else is good and fun, the music is great too.

Yeah, I'm reading the recap from dramabeans for the 1980 scenes, because that seems easier to understand.

The music is good, and Ji Chang Wook looks REALLY good in this too. And of course, he's doing a good job acting too. But I had to chuckle a bit when he already had his shirtless scene in the first episode xD

the 1980s story line is bleh. this gives such strong city hunter vibes, it's ok so far. nothing is too interesting but i adore Park Min Young and Ji Chang Wook is so beautiful so i'll keep tuning in.

it has potential. im excited for chang wook's and min young's friendship/romance and how that will pan out. plus all the weird multiple personalities dramas will start airing soon and as much as i love hyun bin & sung joon, they all sound terrible. also poor park seo joon, he didn't deserve second male lead in that trash 8 personalities drama.

min young and her dad are the cutest. i hope nothing stupid tears them apart. Ahjumma is flawless, i love her in every drama and im glad she got this role. overall i have hope and it's fun so that's what matters.

Goong was my first official drama, I marathoned it last year. Technically master's sun was my first drama but i finished Goong first even though I started it after Master's Sun. YEH's career has gone the drain though, I'm so sad. Every time I wanna watch a drama with her it has awful reviews/ratings. I'll watch Coffee Prince but other than Goong & Coffee Prince I haven't heard good things about anything else.

The weird 1980s flashbacks are so? like i think their was some accident and Noona got paralyzed/lost her child (who is MIn Young) and her husband/boyfriend/lover was killed. I also think her current husband is the killer/kidnapper judging from his super creepy jealous glares and his brother is trying to reveal his sins. It seems so messy and pointless.

I'm going to attempt to watch both of the multiple personality dramas bcuz I adore the casts but I have no faith whatsoever. I'm still so upset Ahn Jaehyun got a lead role over Sung Joon and Paek Seo Joon, how did this happen? Also bless Kim Soo Hyun for turning down that Dr Frankenstein drama, this multiple personalities thing needs to stop and it hasn't even been started yet.

As long as it doesn't take itself too seriously, I'm going to keep watching. It's probs going to be better than the other Mon-Tues dramas. Also Min Young and Chang Wook, how can I not watch.

I'm 98% something is weird with Blood. It wasn't even casting offers, they both were pretty serious about taking the role then they both declined it... suspicious. I'm probs going to watch everything too. I watch like half the currently airing kdramas at a time. I need to start loving myself

Okay from your comment I get that Ji Sung will play the other multiply personality drama and the second lead is Seo Joon? While Sung Joon will play the second lead for Hyunbin? I dont know how to feel about this tbh. With the right writer, it could be awesome and interesting but since it has the same theme, viewers might get tired and ended up not watching both. But it looks like both dramas got to score top actors in the lead so the competition could be interesting. :3

So Hyunbin drama will be Mon-Thurs on SBS replacing Secret Door? While Ji Sung's will be Wed-Thurs?

Song Jina is like one of my fave kdramas' writer so this could be good. However, this drama going to face strong competitions soon so the ratings might suffer. Reading the synopsis first doesnt get me excited tbh but it looks like it has City Hunter's elements which I love. I can't believe Yoo Jitae is playing the second lead here. Looks like Ji Changwook's value really go up after Empress Ki. ♥

So from the synopsis I get City Hunter. And isn't that the girl from it, too?

I've just read the dramabeans recap and they had this screencap

Image

163 cm and only 42 kg?! This might be a detail, but it's worrying how this is portrayed as "normal" weight.
