Girl group member 'A' has recently been promoting actively as a solo singer but it's been reported that she's putting those around in her a difficult situation with her top star disease.

On the 8th, Newsen revealed, "After acting in a drama and movie, girl group member A has become cocky. She acts like she's the mightiest and one of the only top stars in the world." According to her main manager, A had declared, "I can't sing or dance so I'll quit my singing career and focus on my acting." She then cut complete contact with her group members.

The manager added, "She's going to get into a huge scandal at this rate." A's mother even went as far as to visit the mother of top idol group member B to ask for her consultation.

Nah, Jiyeon is still doing stuff with T-ara which doesn't fit the "cut contact with other members" part of things. Meanwhile Tiny-G is promoting in Thailand as a "subunit" with zero mention of Dohee anywhere. My bet is on her.

nah i doubt it's hyeri because while her variety thing was a hit it didn't really put her apart from other members, since minah and yura were already much more popular than her.
sulli and krystal, while popular, aren't really that popular compared to other members.

and i don't think dasom eunji nor naeun are that popular among the members, just more known to the public.

I don't know that "GOING to be a scandal" would apply to Sulli, though, and her scandal started way before October. The rest of the description, maybe could be Sulli though.
Victoria can dance and isn't most popular in Korea, Krystal can sing.

Hyeri: nope, aegyo can only take you so far. She's just catching up to where Minah has been for 3 years now. Plus her new claim to fame is already being threaten by that Exid girl.

f(x) in general: not enough fucks given. Sulli has literally walked of set, Vic is living as a company approved runaway in China, Luna's singing in church, Krystal's dying while her sister rubs salt into her wounds, and Amber is being Amber which by some freak accident now means she's preparing to go solo.

Apink: the mystery that is having multiple members have successful solo gigs, and yet the are still just seen as Apink member X (in any other group Eunji would seem like she reached goddess level compared to the rest ala Yoona, Uee, Suzy).

Dasom: even with a successful drama she's still the 4th most famous member of her group.

Basically none of these work, since most have either never been in a movie or have been in to many. Plus these groups have "equal" levels of popularity between members.

If that translation is correct - "the most popular member of her group" - it can't be Sulli, since Krystal and maybe even Victoria are on her level of popularity. Thus, it wouldn't be Krystal either (also: Krystal hasn't acted in a movie, and while she's obviously not a major dancing/singing talent, relative to a lot of female idols she's pretty decent...all of f(x) excepting Sulli are decently talented at singing and/or dancing).

That whole cutting contact with her members, elated with the success of her acting career just doesn't sound like Sulli - 1) after bowing out mid-promotions due to the pressure/netizen hate, and (according to that blind item) with her members supporting her and deciding to stop promotions rather than carry on as a group without her, it doesn't make sense that she'd have this sort of disdainful attitude towards her group 2) While that Pirates movie was a success, she just had a small part and received acting criticism for it; her other projects (Fashion King & TTBY) haven't been successful. All-in-all I don't think her career is going disastrously (I mean, based on her looks and the fact that she's not a horrible actress, she def has a future), but nor is it going well enough for her to have the sort of inflated ego and career optimism this rumor describes....

Dohee, on the other hand, has received praise and fame from her acting career, and the general public barely seems aware of her idol group...I mean, I don't know anything about the group dynamics or member relationships, but it seems like given those facts, she'd be mostly likely to want to ditch her idol career and focus on acting.

is dohee really popular enough to make it on her own? I don't follow tiny g so idk. Eunji wouldn't leave a pink, at least not while her contract is still in place. Naeun wouldn't leave apink to pursue solo activities, it would probably be to go to school or leave the entertainment industry in general.

I don't think it's Jooyeon because she's definitely not more popular than UEE or Nana, and UEE hasn't been in a movie, so...

And the rumor didn't necessarily claim that the idol is friends with Suzy herself.

Dohee. If this was 3 months ago I might even suggest that girl from Monstar (who failed at life). It's definitely someone that international fans (and probably domestic) would say: "NUGU"

Honestly unless your in a famous group, it's best to cut your losses and run to acting with lit bit of "fame" you have. I mean look at Dasom and S--(that girl form Secret)--unhwo(?). Neither are good actresses, their group weren't really popular (Sistar is big but Dasom has always been the black-sheep even though she's the "visual"), and they weren't really doing anything pre-acting.

edit: It's a AOA, if any of the members has been acting. They're the "trend" right now, so that's enough to justify calling it a "scandal".

I wouldn't be surprised if Dohee left Tiny-G, though I'd be sad as that would leave them adrift (hopefully they'll add a trainee or two who can actually emote in music videos, though they could always leave them as a fabulous duo). The only thing I'd add to the discussion is that Dohee might not be exceptionally talented at either but she can both sing and dance; when they debuted she was frequently Mint's b-boy demo partner and she's always been the second vocal (myungji didn't sing until Miss You, their third single just before she left, and Mint's only just had singing lines outside of choruses - which she always lipsynched - with their Thai single just now). I might not particularly like her tone (or her as an idol in general) but there's no denying she's reliable live and mildly important as a counterpoint to J.Min, if they're going to insist on continuing to only give Mint raps in Korean songs.

Dohee would have a niche as a small, slightly comedic actress, which seems to be working for her. I can't really comment about bts feelings between members but I have always wondered if there's a slight rift between her and Mint (which is pure conjecture on my part and not to be taken with an ounce of believability).

I love Tiny-G too :/ It's a shame they're not popular because J.Min's voice is so pleasant, Mint is adorable, and Dohee is a trip and they all seem so close so it would be a shame if she left the group/they split. Netizens need to stop sleeping on them.

Although IDK if it is her, because is she known as 'the most popular member in her group' nowadays? Even if K-netizens are still pressed about Hyosung's 'democratization' fuck up, HS is still pretty damn popular and Jieun gets her fair share of praise.

I hope it isn't tbh because I prefer Sunhwa's voice over Hyosung's and I'll be sad if she stops singing.
