Plot:
Amidst a sea of young news reporters competing for the next scoop, Choi In Ha (Park Shin Hye) finds herself in a tricky position, as she cannot tell a lie without a dead giveaway: breaking into a violent hiccup. Meanwhile, first-year reporter Choi Dal Po (Lee Jong Suk) proves his remarkable memory and communication skills by downplaying his good looks with a dumpy veneer of bad hair and clothing. The bro-union happened and it was too much. I know hyung's a criminal now but I don't want anything bad to happen to him. Maybe he won't get such a terrible endgame because he saved the kid? I was about to lose it when he called him Ha Myung at the end.

I am thoroughly convinced that Roy Kim is 40% of the reason why this drama is so good lol they really know when to throw in his song. The kissing scene was so sweet and perfect. LJS and PSH have such good chemistry and it really shows bts. PSH is one of those actresses that needs a good male lead to do really well. Totally not bashing her as an actress bc she's one of my faves but if you compare her acting when she's alongside yoon shi yoon or lee jong suk to her acting alongside lee minho or yonghwa, its a big difference.

I like In Ha's relationship with her dad so much. I love how sassy they both are.

The actor who plays Dal Po's brother is really striking to me. Idk if its his eyes or what but I like him a lot. His eyes remind me of Song Jae Rim. I'm scared about what direction his brother will go but I trust the writer of this drama to do his character justice. UGH i just wish dal po would tell him who he is. So much trouble will be avoided if he knew his little brother is alive.

The relationship between In Ha and her dad is definitely a big plus point for this drama! They're so interesting and yes, sassy! It's fabulous!!

That actor also stands out to me, has done from the first time he appeared. I'm really hoping the brother won't go further down the bad path he's on!!

So much happened!
I'm not here for the fauxest, but damn that was PSH's BEST kiss scene ever!
The writing has already started to get fucked, Dalpo's moral fuck up wasn't logical/natural and went against everything he believes in. Also, what type of stupid emotionally useless person reunites with his long-lost bro and is like "..oh, I'm just some random taxi drive...but can I call you HYUNG?!"

Lol @ Dalpo now probably being suspected as an accomplish to his serial-killer hyung. Probably next week the cat will be let out of the bag because hyung is gong to need a blood transfusion, which is why we got a kiss scene this week. Plus the evil mom will totally make the connection of "dead firefighter's son sacrifices life for random kid on the street" to make her story more interesting.

which part though? the part where dalpo overlooked the real cause of the dead mother? the scene after his realization (the one in the conference room) shows that no matter how much you believe that you're determine to find the truth and that your story will be truthful, that belief could just really be arrogance and your "best" efforts might not be enough. even if you're a victim of careless journalism you might not realize what you're doing is the same thing other journalists have done to you, because you're so sure that what you believe is true.

also the reason he didn't tell his brother is because he's suspicious that his brother might have committed a murder - like, you have a long lost brother but you're also a reporter who's just reaffirmed your purpose to uncover and report only truth - finding out that your brother just killed someone is a huge moral crisis that gets only harder if your brother knows who you are and might rely on you for your support. it's not emotionally useless, it's overly emotional, and really expected.

Maybe it's just me but I'm losing slowly interest, I'll continue to watch b/c of the cast but the same happened to me while watching IHYV (though LBY is a way better actress than PSH) I feel like if it weren't for the supernatural elements, the plot would be really typical and predictable. This writer needs some new ideas.

Though I kind of hope that Dalpo's brother can get away with his crime but this will most likely not happen oh and I was surprised that PSH didn't look like a deer in the headlights during the kiss scene.

Yeah, the writer id definitely starting to play it safe. The only way she can redeem herself is by keeping the bro out of jail. But I'm sure the drama will end with a scene of the 2 lovebirds visiting their crazy-"harmless"-kind murdering brother in prison.

UGH THE KISS SCENE GIVES ME LIFE

obviously the best kiss from psh in all her works and one of the prettiest in ljs dramas. the director has outdone himself again.
the list of favorite things about that scenes is endless, the way ljs presses his lips upward, the way they're holding hands while they're kissing, the little smile from lj before the second kiss, psh's gorgeous eyes, psh actually kissing back (the highlight!) but with panning out at the right time so it doesn't look like she's trying too hard (jo soo won did that with lee bo young who's also a brick wall when it comes to kiss scenes) AHHHHHHHHH

i can't decide which cinematography i enjoy more, the kiss scene or the conference room scene where two dalpos are talking to each other.
dalpo is at the edge of his facade as choi dalpo and ki hamyoung, it's gonna be interesting next week when ha myoung part starts to break his shell.

i still don't like bum jo's character - like i think kim young gwang isn't interpreting the script well and he just comes off as a dumb person, rather than innocent. i feel similar with kim hae sook - she's not meant to play a rich mother lulz

And the back and forth in the conference room was so good. LJS giving me so many feels!

I loved the way they were holding hands during the kiss too! That one small detail gave a lot more sincerity to the moment.

The whole scene in the conference room between the two Dalpos was amazing. So well done! I'm really looking forward to seeing how he will progress from this point now too!

i seem to be in the minority with this opinion but sure the kiss scene was alright but that's definitely not thanks to park shinhye. she was still stiff and actually leaning away from him... the angles and lee jongsuks enthusiasm can only make me overlook so much. (maybe i'm just spoiled from seo inguk kisses...)

the brother story is heartbreaking but i honestly expected to root for their brotherliness more? idk to me the things that hyung did are too cruel to have a happy ending for him. i'm not sure he'll be getting that and the writer involved makes me think we're not getting it either. i'm just surprised i don't even want it...
the bathing scene with dalpo and grandpa was super cute and i love every single one of them. i wish we'd get more of that with inha and her father too because those two are super cute as well.

still confused about the role of chaebol prince in this? one time he's giving dalpo the stink eye for talking to inha and the drama seems to imply that he wants to get with her but then he lies for dalpo/inha and never actually makes a move? is his goal just being friends with inha (if so i would be glad but then what merit does having him in the story have?? not that dalpo/inha need more conflicts)
and i want more yurae. give me more of her.

Cute as that kiss was (damn with that perfect lighting), I think I might drop this.

I was really into the way PSH's character was written, Jong Suk (acting has gotten so much better, very proud of him), and Lee Pil Mo. However, PSH is just a really bad actress and while I understand why so many people like her as she is very cute and charismatic, I cringe whenever she's in a scene. I might stay on for JS being a reporter/ the brother drama (Which is getting a bit much), but I'm not sure.

i probably won't stop watching (i have a high tolerance i even made it to the halfway mark or doctor stranger) but she's annoying me a little and makes it hard to like inha as a character

The brother is totally going to die...though the idea of visiting in jail is nice he killed three people...they already started his redemption by death with the car accident

I felt for Dalpo...when he said, "I have the feeling that Hyung has crossed a line that should be crossed" and gave him his fake name instead I knew something was going to go down...did Hyung just not care that he was an OBVIOUS suspect if he was in the missing dude's call history and his two friends are dead?


Getting that kiss and starting their relationship just makes clear that some BAD mess is coming...angst party

Still not a fan of KYK in this, and I feel like this drama is a waste of Kim Hae Sook's time. She's amazing obviously but this character is a waste of her talent.

Other than that, Lee Yoo Bi is doing spectacularly, Lee Pil Mo is still very very handsome and adorable, and Lee Jong Suk's acting is off the charts. Big bro is also great. I love In Ha's character, this is hands down PSH's best role. Her mom and dad are spectacular too. Basically everyone but the rich family is great lol

I want the brothers to be in good term , I felt bad when he lied to his brother. also it could be uncommon opinion but I support the other girl , the one with short hair. I usually get the second lead syndrome with guys , this time I had it for her , idk if I should hope or let my wishes die early, especially , after the kiss :( .

I took a hiatus after the first 2 episodes, but came back for the kiss.
I'm really enjoying the drama, the brother's story line caught me of guard, I didn't expect him to go on full dark side. I love love love the actor, I think I enjoy his acting the most. He actually reminds me of Yoo Seung Ho, looks and acting vise.
I do hope for some kind of happy ending for him, I wish he'll get more story lines, which will probably not happen, but something about him finding his own path and happiness, because the way he is now is so sad and pitiful.
I have a strong love-hate relationship with PSH, she is mostly really bad and blunt. I adored her in FBND, but everything else of hers had been a pain the ass to watch. For now I don't have complaints on her acting or her character in Pinoccio, I'm scared to think what will follow from now on, because ~this is a kdrama. She is not a superb actress, and there are definitely moments that make me cringe a bit, but overall she's good.
I don't have much to comment about Jong Suk, because he's quite good and I like his character, I think the writers are doing him justice. I can't wait to see how he deals with situation his brother is in. And I'm liking the bromance with Chan Soo, give me more of that. Overall, I need Chan Soo to have more screen time.
KYK is a pain in the ass to watch, honestly. His character is simply weird. His relationship with his mother creeps me out, like you are full grown man, act like that. And I still don't understand how In Ha and he started communicating via texts, how come she thought he was her mum etc.
Yoo Rae the same, tbh. I don't get why so many people like her. Any kind of sasaeng glorifying for me is a huge no. There's nothing you can say that will make it ok in any kind of way.
And, finally, In Ha's mother, I really really really really hope she will have some kind of a terrible turn of events for her. I can't stand her. She has nothing to herself except being despicable, not even a mope of goodness or regret, anything.
