Actor Kim Soo Hyun has turned down a role in an upcoming drama called “Doctor Frankenstein.”
It was reported earlier that the actor was considering the lead role of the drama, and was in the process of reading through the script in October. Kim Soo Hyun’s agency KeyEast told the media on December 5, “He has decided to not appear in ‘Doctor Frankenstein’ over a month ago.”
“Doctor Frankenstein” will be a medical romance drama about a talented doctor with multiple personalities, who slowly learn how to express himself when he falls in love. Written by writer Kim Tae Hee, who penned the drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” the drama will be produced by the production team that created “Night Watchman.”
Kim Soo Hyun will be busy with promotional activities until the end of the year, attending award ceremonies and commercial shoots.

Which has been done a million times and is a little too close for comfort to his last major role. Also, K-dramas have a bad track record where medical shows are concerned. The only novel part of the premise was the multiple personalities angle, but if I'm not mistaken, there's another drama coming out with that same concept, so even that wouldn't be fresh.
