1st episode to UKnow YunHo’s debut drama aired, “Acting is above expectations”

The first episode to Dong Bang Shin Ki UKnow YunHo’s debut drama ‘Heading To The Ground’ has been aired on 9th September. And YunHo’s acting has been said to be above expectations.

It is said that he has brought out 120% the charms of the character Cha BongGoon whom he plays in the drama, from the character’s defiance to cuteness.

Even though there were some awkward acting for his first acting attempt, on the whole he has brought out Cha BongGoon’s charms out, proving his acting skills.

Also with that fact that the director to the show is Park SeongSoo, who has discovered the acting talents of other stars like Eric and Yang DongGeun, there is high possibility that YunHo will follow that trend.

And with this drama, YunHo has shown a different side to him as to the charismatic features he would show as part of Dong Bang Shin Ki. His character in the show – confident, blunt and fresh Cha BongGoon – is very popular amongst the female TV viewers.

Viewers have commented on online noticeboards, “Normally singers would get some criticisms for their acting when they first started out acting, but YunHo’s acting is above expectations”, “Even though I thought there were some points when he went over with it, he suits the character” etc

swallow the sun got 15.5% and take care of young lady 14.4%

I watched it without sub and um, what can I say is his acting isnt really bad like him in the Vacation drama LOL. There are still exaggerating actions and expressions (the first scene tbh made me cringe SOB ) but I think that he's improving along the way. I beginning to accept Jung Yunho as an actor now... lol. +, I'm a fan of Yunho aegyo xD

oh, one more to add... idk why but his acting REALLY reminds me of a live anime character *dies* And I love all his scene with Yoonji, both of them are so cute. Ara, i just dont know what to say. haha.

This isn't the first time I'm noticing it, but when he acts, he walks weird. It's too stiff. For more evidence, look at the Japanese version of "Rising Sun".

I just watched the first part of the first episode and I'm just dying from the facial expressions. lol

From what I've seen, this is supposed to be some sort of romantic comedy, so maybe his bad acting awkwardness works well in the drama.

Hopeless DBSK fan and I love Yunho to death, but not only was he a total stiff zombie spazzing out in the comic scenes, but ALL the younger cast with the exception of Lee Yunji were absolutely horrible. The female lead was exceptionally bad. The crying and "angry at adults" and/or "my heart is hurting" scenes were so difficult to watch. Emotions were so fake. Enunciation was horrible. It was worse than watching a play put on by college students.
Not watching again because I don't think I can handle that much cringing anymore. Oi. How bad is it when the viewer gets embarrassed for the actors?

I've seen it. tbh, it depends on how you set your expectations. If you set it low then yes, his acting is pretty much above it. If you're expecting something groundbreaking then you're in for a disappointment. Basically not the worst actor ever but definitely not impressive.

I think the problem beside in the casts, but also in the script. When I heard the summary of the series, it felt like ring a bell with an awful Lee Minho's (perhaps I made mistake spelling his name, the one who played as Tsukasa in Japanese version) drama about soccer too like a year ago? That drama was a nightmare for me.
