Jewelry might be disbanding after 14 years. The rumors are circulating since Baby J (Jooyeon)’s contract expired and Semi’s contract is expiring soon.
Star Empire Entertainment confirmed the fate of the two contracts but denied an official disbandment. As of now, nothing has been confirmed and it’s too early to say.
Semi is currently busy with filming for MBC Every1's sitcom, “Boarding House No.24″. The agency stated that they’ll decide what to do with her contract after the filming has ended.
Earlier reports made it seem the two members will not be renewing their contracts. This would leave Yewon alone in the group as she is the only one still signed to the label for the foreseeable future.
Member Eunjung left the group earlier this year, leaving it a 3-member group.
Earlier, Baby J confirmed she will be leaving the group. On November 18th, she wrote on twitter that she’s currently on a break to focus on her music studies. She tweeted "“Since my contract with Star Empire has expired, I became ordinary Ha Ju-yeon, not a member of Jewelry."
