Just when you thought it was over--Woollim releases a major update to the Seo Ji Soo case.

On November 18th, Woollim Entertainment released an official statement with an update on Jisoo‘s condition, as well as the investigation on the accusation made against her online.

After the accusations surfaced of Jisoo allegedly having committed sexual and verbal abuse, Woollim Entertainment immediately began an investigation claiming that these accusations were unfounded. On November 11th they stated, “These photos are available for anyone who was even an acquaintance of Jisoo and there is no definitive proof of victimization.”

On Jisoo’s condition they revealed she is still in the hospital after undergoing severe mental trauma. Due to these accusations, Jisoo was not able to debut with Lovelyz who are currently promoting as 7 members.

Furthermore, on November 18th, the cyber investigation department released a statement stating, “We have identified the person who appears to be the origin of the rumors. We will summon the person and confirm his/her identity.”

Woollim's released multiple updates before this but they were all the same thing ("The rumors aren't true" *update on jisoo's hospital status* "the rumors aren't true" "police have no updates") so I never posted them.

Either way, I have the biggest migraine and someone, either Jisoo or the culprit, is a giant sociopath.

So basically the only allegation left that hasn't been proven or disproven is that Jisooluv has a video of her and Jisoo having sex distributed at her job by Jisoo and got fired. The photos she posted claiming only she had them belonged to a lot of people and were on Jisoo's Facebook.

I always found that the least likely to be true because why would an idol put themselves on camera having sex...and if the video DOESN'T have Jisoo in it then it could be with anyone and he/she is just claiming Jisoo did it

Woollim hasn't made a statement today, it was the Mapo PD cyber crimes unit. They made two statements at the beginning of the scandal then went back to focusing on Lovelyz' promotions because they handed everything off to the police. Netizens are acting like Naver Starcast is media play when literally every group has done one. They're being obtuse on purpose. :/

According to Koreaboo articles, there have been no more than 7 statements made on the case: 2 from the police (obtaining the arrest warrant and the possibility of finding the person) and the rest from Woollim (Answering the rumors and expressing the desire to take legal action, the insensitive statement against "sexual minorities" that announced that the police was involved, jisoo being placed in the hospital for mental trauma and shock, two follow up statements on Jisoo's progress, and this article.)

I really hope they get to the bottom of this soon because while the rumours initially seemed legitimate due the level of detail, really all "proof" can be dismissed or explained away. There's absolutely nothing solid, just the words of the victim(s)'. If this turns out to be just some malicious, baseless rumour I'll be super pissed because they just put a permanent stain on someone's career before they even started (not to mention some major mental distress).

NGL, I like the group and their songs. I want to stan but won't until this whole ordeal is over with (whichever way the case closes).
