Initial Distributor of Lovelyz’ Seo Ji Soo Rumors Found, to Be Summoned for Questioning

It is being reported that the intial distributor of the rumors surrounding Lovelyz’ member Seo Ji Soo has been found and will be called in by the police for questioning.

In a phone interview with Newsen on November 18, a representative of the cyber investigation unit at Seoul Mapo Police Station revealed, “The netizen suspected of being the first distributor of the Seo Ji Soo rumors has been identified. We will have to complete questioning in order to confirm if [he or she] really is the source. At the earliest, we plan to summon them within this week, but nothing is certain yet.”

As a result of the malicious rumors regarding Seo Ji Soo, she was reported to have sought out psychological treatment at a hospital, forcing her to skip out on Lovelyz’ debut showcase and other official promotions. It is said that she is still resting at the hospital to regain her mental stability.

Woollim Entertainment recently refuted all rumors about Seo Ji Soo, explaining, “Those were photos that anyone could have access to if you were an acquaintance. There has not been one photo or evidence of harm. The rumors were spread solely through words and text, as well as easily obtainable photos.”

Well...considering JisooLuv was refusing to post anymore after almost everything was disproven I would not be surprised if it was all false

If I remember correctly they said they were posting originally for a "friend" but the evidence from the friend was a lie too

I read on Omona that some of the pictures/testimonies were fake, but what about the original ? Any follow-up - else than Woolim saying it's fake and police taking action ?

nothing really, tbh. it's tricky to keep tabs on because no matter that outcome, in my opinion, it's gonna be glossed over by woolim. (if it's false, it will be. if it's true, it'll be glossed over even more.)

mte, like if it is true (and i always give people making rape accusations the benefit of the doubt because it's not easy to come forward about) unless there's some sort of damning evidence unveiled woolim could easily make it all go away.

Me too I always give the benefit of the doubt. It takes a lot of courage to accuse someone with rape, and even after the accusation have been made, it's still difficult to get justice. That's what I have said in the first post about Jisoo and I stand by it.
But the additionnal testimonies that were proved false are making this really complicated. It could mean so many things. I sincerely hope it's not trolls deliberately discrediting the first OP, because the most testimonies are proven to be fake, the less credible the original post will sound like... and we still don't know anything. It the person is a victim, she'll be hidden among the trolls and pushed in the shadows by Woolim (and have her life even more broken than it must be now, to see the person responsible for so much debuting as if nothing happened). And if it's a troll... How can someone can imagine something so terrible... I don't know.
Now that Woolim has stood next to Jisoo rather than having her leaving swiftly the group, they won't let it go.

The rape allegations came from the "Fuckingjisoo" netizen, who was proven/admitted to lying/being a troll. They weren't a part of the OP's original accusations.

Here's a summary of everything found to be faked/lies since the porn star pics. The issue is that it's unclear if the OP was an alleged victim themselves or if everything was just stuff they compiled from other people.

The OP of the rumors made another statement last night around midnight KST (after disappearing for 5 days...) but the whole thing was...off? The person who tled parts of it noted that there was some outright wrong info: they claimed that the media was victim blaming and shaming them in a bunch of articles, when there's been nothing since Woollim's second update last week, and that it was only one thing proven false when it was a number of things.

That said it mentioned that they decided to go to the police and present the evidence, so there are now two camps of thinking -- either that they voluntarily went on their own, or that they got caught and made the post to sway the public in their favour. But who knows at this point.

They also mentioned that ex-Woollim employees came to their assistance, so uh, take that as you will. :x

So all the evidence the group of victims presented was proved false, but it could still be a victim, maybe with no evidence who's taking their revenge bc they feel they have no other choice. Or at least that's what it sounds like.

This is so messy and sad. Whether it's true or false, there's still someone who's life was/is messed up. I hope they get to the truth, whatever the truth may be. And who ever the victim turns out to be gets some kind of justice or closure.
