Will JYJ, TVXQ meet in ‘Big Match’ premier?

K-pop bands JYJ and TVXQ may confront each other at the upcoming premier event of the film “Big Match” for the first time since JYJ quit TVXQ in 2009, a local online media outlet reported on Monday.

JYJ members Kim Jae-joong, Park Yu-chun and Kim Jun-su -- the three former members of then-five-member TVXQ -- will attend the “Big Match” premier that takes place in Wangsini, eastern Seoul, on Nov. 24. They will support the lead actor Lee Jung-jae from the same agency, C-JeS Entertainment.

The two remaining TVXQ members, Shim Chang-min and Jung Yun-ho, will also be present at the event to support singer-actor BoA of S.M. Entertainment.

The two boy bands have never attended the same entertainment event since the split in 2009. The JYJ members filed for an injunction against S.M. in mid-2009, alleging their 13-year exclusive contract was unreasonably long.

The case dragged on till Nov. 2012, for three years and four months, when SM Entertainment and JYJ reached an agreement to terminate all contracts between the two parties and not to interfere with each other’s future activities.

The unprecedented encounter may pressurize the organizer over assigning seats for not only JYJ and TVXQ, but also their agencies.

Highly unlikely JYJ would be uninvited, after all CJeS houses Lee Jung Jae the lead actor. I presume he can invite whoever he wants to the premiere.

It is more likely that JYJ will be too busy to attend. Either that or SM wimps out and comes up with an excuse for TVXQ.

I wonder if c-jes will make them go, I mean yoochun said he's not really into this things but he still goes to support the other actors, I want this to happen because SM has to grow the fuck up, nothing is going to happen if you let one of your artists be in the same room as jyj, they won't get the lawsuit-cooties, it's just ridiculous at this point.

I did just see a fancam of Jaejoong mentioning his hope of them all meeting in private and talking. Odd for this to come out after watching it less than 8 hours ago. I wasn't around for DBSK, but I'm always interested in these kinds of things because it makes me wonder how important "friendship" actually is. OT thought, sorry

More likely tvxq will suddenly have an "unforeseen schedule engagement". Weren't they both invited to Koda Kumi's wedding but then tvxq didn't go or something..? - I may have completely made that up.

I hope things will go crazy if SM backs out or pulls a stunt to remove JYJ. This article seems to be like a challenge.
I hope they meet and have some great OT5 (OT4 since Changmin will probably be hiding in a corner having murderous thoughts) photos to piss everyone off (mostly in SM).

It'd really be a great ending to 2014. :3 And I was so waiting for this ever since those "conversations" through interviews Yunho and Jaejoong had (+Junsu's OT5 banner/fan during concert+JYJ saying things like wanting another OT5 album and a separate meeting with HoMin etc.).

honestly, both companies have plenty of other artists to send. i can see yoochun going maybe because his friend that was in RTP with him is also in this movie, and yunho's bestie son hojoon in this as well, so i could see yunho going for him and boa but. still. both companies are large enough to just send other people to avoid all this talk which is probably what they'll do.

not that i wouldn't absolutely LOVE to see them meet at an event...

I don't think this will happen. if any of them had confirmed attendance, we could see some drama, but it's not the case.
their management can easily avoid any "problem" simply saying that they're never scheduled.
