Every week, viewers of the SBS reality show “Roommate” are glued on screen as they wait for developments on the exciting relationship of GOT7′s Jackson with the female members of the show. While Jackson shows his affectionate side to “Roommate” member Lee Gook Joo and engages in cute bickering bouts with KARA’s Heo Youngji, the GOT7 member has finally spoken up about how he truly feels about these two charming ladies.

Jackson revealed his honest thoughts about being paired with his “Roommate” co-stars Lee Gook Joo and KARA’s Heo Youngji at the press showcase for GOT7′s solo album, “Identify,” held today, November 17.

“I’m just really close to Youngji. About us being “some,” I don’t even know what being “some” (having a mutual understanding) is,” said Jackson about his relationship with new KARA member Heo Youngji with whom he has a cute relationship wherein they always fight with each other on small things in “Roommate.”

“And Gook Joo noona is really like my real sister. She takes care of me like my real sister. We’re close and I really like her. But Gook Joo noona likes Seo Kang Joon hyung. There’s nothing I can do,” added Jackson, making the people in the room laugh.

After every episode of “Roommate,” netizens abuzz with Jackson’s on-screen chemistry with KARA’s Heo Youngji as well as Lee Gook Joo. While some fans wish that Jackson does end up dating Heo Youngji, even the producer of the show had to make a statement to clarify that the two are just friends.

Meanwhile, Jackson will be having active promotions with GOT7 as the group has recently released their first full-length album, “Identify.”

The album, which will be released on November 18, will contain a total of 11 tracks including the title song “Stop Stop It” which was written, composed, and produced by Park Jin Young. It is a groovy hip-hop track with an addictive hook melody.




Roommate's PD also spoken up

During a phone interview with OSEN on November 17, PD Park Sang Hyuk commented, “It is common to see Jackson and Youngji quarreling during filming.”

One of these quarreling sessions could be seen on the November 16 broadcast of “Roommate,” when the GOT7 member showed that he was hurt by the KARA member’s teasing statement about his height.

The PD continued to share, “The two of them normally get along without trouble. They have a lot in common. They’re the same age, they’re both members of an idol group, there’s only a 7-month difference in their debut period, and their music show and other schedules are similar. It’s normal for them to dance and play around like average high school students. Jackson, in particular, also teases the other hyungs and nunas, not only Youngji.”

Despite the back-and-forth bickering between the two, which has caused many viewers to be suspicious of their relationship, the PD explained that he doesn’t see the possibility of love line. He stated, “If you watch the broadcast, it’s impossible to connect them in a love line. Although the two of them said they made up after the ‘height remark,’ they start bickering as soon as they turn around. The producers and cast members call the two of them and the house pet Cucumber, ‘The Three Beagle Siblings.’”




On November 17, GOT7 held its comeback showcase for its new album Identify at AX-Korea in Gwangjang-dong.

During the press conference, Jackson shared about the recording experience for GOT7′s first official album.

"I′ve never really received praise from Park Jin Young. Sometimes, he tells me to get out (of the recording booth) before my rap is even over."

Smiling a sad grin, Jackson added, "The biggest compliment I received was, ′Your shoes are pretty.′" He promised to continue doing his best.

I love the 3 of them and I like watching their interactions. The PD's statement is strange because in season 1 they forced love lines and said couples would win a trip abroad and in season 2 they have so many potential love lines... But I guess it's the best strategy, to let viewers imagine it.

By the way, am I the only one who's shipping Sunny and Lee Dong Wook? When they were looking at childhood pictures they seemed pretty close. I wish he was there more often.

I used to think Jackson flirted with Gukjoo but the more that time goes on the more I feel like it comes off as typical weird Jackson. I think that the way he fusses over her is similar to the way he would fuss over his family, because it's clear he looks at his GOT7 boys like brothers and he's very affectionate and sweet on them similar to Gukjoo. I think this was the love line the PD wanted pushed because it's really safe, but they naturally get along and all the affection comes out naturally.

Jackson and Youngji are really cute together, I could see the siblings feeling people get sometimes, but I also think that they have shining moments of real sweetness that is inspiring this ship. They could be a playful little couple that likes to tease each other and stuff in public.

Jackson's forever love of Gukjoo is so sweet to me, but I really don't think it's a "love line" anymore and very much so a true "this is my noona she needs to look after me and I need to look after her and I wanna be her favorite" line and not a romantic anything.

Gukjoo already proved her weight isn't stopping her from pulling idol boys since she was dating Jin and all that stuff. But! I totally see where you're coming from! When I was younger I didn't get to venture off on my own a lot outside of my town so I only saw the small dating community of people around here, and I saw a lot of bigger women date handsome/cute guys because it wasn't really a big deal here? Most of the big girls were very funny and they just owned the fact that they had weight and did the best they could so a lot of guys here were charmed by that, me included. It was legitimately a culture shock when I realized that, that shit doesn't fly like in the majority of the world, and sure I learned his culture shock by like 16 or whatever but still it was like "Woah man..."

I dunno what the purpose of this rant even was...don't mind me. Oh I was going to say! Have faith and don't get down if you fit into that category ;o; it's all about confidence no matter how you look. You don't have to be like "I'M HELLA FLY HELLA HOT YATTA YATTA" but if you're not down on yourself people are attracted to positivity. ^_^
