B1A4′s Jinyoung, Henry, and More Revealed in First Lineup for Mnet′s New Music Drama

Bringing an array of talented artists into one production, Mnet revealed the first lineup for its upcoming new music drama, Perseverance, Goo Hae Ra (translated).

On November 17, Mnet named B1A4′s Jinyoung, Super Junior-M′s Henry, Ulala Session′s Park Kwang Sun and Yu Seong Eun in the first cast line up for the new drama.

Mnet revealed that a new music drama was in the works since September, as the staff began looking for talented artists and musicians, who excel in both singing and dancing.

The drama is about an unlucky young girl, Goo Hae Ra, who has a difficult time getting signed to an agency, as she dreams of having her father′s posthumous work be revealed to the world. She and a set of twin brothers, Kang Sae Jong and Kang Sae Chan, attempt to join Superstar K2 to follow their dreams.

Cast as Kang Sae Chan, B1A4′s Jinyoung has proved his talents, composing, writing, and producing B1A4 albums, as well as getting noticed in dramas and movies.

Henry, whose musical genius has been acknowledged by the public, will be playing an adorable character similar to himself, also named Henry.

Ulala Session′s Park Kwang Sun, who became a star through Superstar K will be Jang Goon, who is the only son of a family of 16 generations of sons who suffers from OCD. Yu Seong Eun, who let her powerful vocals be shown through Voice Korea will be playing the role of Lee Woori.

In charge of the music drama, Kim Yong Bum PD stated, "It took awhile to gather talented musicians in one place. We′ve revealed Jinyoung and Henry, who are breaking stereotypes about idols, and Yu Seong Eun and Park Kwang Seon, who both have powerful voices, as the first line up of actors for the drama. As we′ve poured our hearts and souls to gather this amazing group, we′ll continue to work hard to create great music and a moving story for this music drama."

The drama will begin filming at the end of November. The drama is expected to air sometime in January 2015.

i'm soooo excited for this!!! finally he is acting again. i really like his character in SIW, Gong Mingyu was so jjang. i hope that he will get characters that are not of boring, arrogant like typical k-drama protoganist(though is he going to have a love line with the main actress?) and i'm curious about who they will cast as his twin brother. please get him to write new songs for the drama too PD-nim~~~
