plot:
Jang Geu-Rae (later played by Siwan) played the board game go since he was a child. Playing the game was everything to him, but he failed to become a professional go player. Now he is thrown out into the real world. By an acquaintance’s recommendation, Jang Geu-Rae is able to begin to work at Wonin International as an intern.
On his first day, Jang Geu-Rae meets his boss Oh Sang-Sik (Lee Sung-Min). Jang Geu-Rae struggles to adapt working at a company.

also good to see youngyi's sunbae finally feel some guilt, he's not completely heartless after all and we can see he does show a bit of concern for though he does it in such a roundabout/backwards way :/ i mean he's still quite a misogynistic asshole but i hope he's not like that for the entire drama either...

Lol my bb Suk Yool. I love how he is almost everywhere, so busy being a busybody and the resident gossiper. But too bad he is now facing a hard time on his own. And Baek Ki is now seeing the light, yesssss!
And ughhhhh I am so mad at that horrible Mr James Park and was fist pumping when Geu Rae took him down. And ughh Young Yi's immediate boss is horrible. I thought he would be kinder to Young Yi since he started to feel bad but noooooo, he chose to get mad at her even more wth >:(
I thought during Ep. 8's ending we get teasers on Young Yi's past / background story but I don't think I saw any of them in Ep. 9 or 10?

Date: 2014-11-17 06:02 pm (UTC)i'm gonna need young yi to clap back. i am glad tho that her douchey coworkers r starting to see the error in their ways and i understand that the position she's in---ESPECIALLY as a woman---makes it IMPOSSIBLE for her to stand up for herself without losing her job but damn i am in awe of her patience. i kno i would've snapped by now. those men owe her an apology so badly. and we need to see more of her back story. i appreciate the acknowledgement of sexism in the workplace but i think she deserves some more backstory. we got 10 more episodes left i hope they dont leave me hanging!
i wish they didn't make suk yool a sexual harassment pig in the beginning because he's actually so ride or die in his own particular way. he's always looking out for the team even when they aren't checking for him. like when he told his boss he was taking the rest of the day off he could've easily gone home but he ended up staying to help (and whine all day) with young yi and i really liked that. i'm glad they seemed to have dropped the gross side of his character from his story.
gue rae is bae like...i cant even...i cant remember the last time i loved a drama character as much as i love him. when he brought dong shik home to FINALLY reveal his past as a go player omg! and then him using his brain to basically save the day in episode 10 like...i just love him so much. bless baek ki for getting his shit together and seeing the error in his ways. his boss is hella hot, tho. HELLA HOT!
for the millionth time can i just say how happy i am that this drama has no love line?! and how i seriously have never seen a kdrama with NO love line? and how i actually don't miss it even a little bit mostly because the friendship (however reluctant) between the newbies is legit the sweetest thing ever?!
