i'm playing with the program audacity but i know nothing about audio editing so everything is like a whole new world for me right now i want to remove background sound from a drama clip but i guess it's not possible to do it with crisp quality because the sounds aren't separated enough. :/
I got a 114/120 on my TOEFL exam (which I did last Sat and mentioned here, thanks so much for the encouragement, guys!). I mean I already knew right after the exam that it had been SO EASY, but I was worried about the speaking part and I got great scores and even two perfect sections (listening and reading). Yayayayayay.

Hi everybody~ I just tried Buldak Bokkeum Ramyun for the first time and I was definitely not pleased. I expected it to be much hotter like everyone of the Korea/K-pop youtubers make it out to be. Then again, this is coming from someone who did the ghost pepper challenge...so.
Also, did you guys hear about Krystal getting cursed out by journalists because she was late to a photo event but it wasn't even her fault because there were too many fans in her way. 2014 has been way too hard on bbJung :c Maybe the upcoming activities Jessica was talking about on Weibo have something to do with Krystal finally having some fun and being given a break? idk I just want that girl to rest D;

Anyone know any good places to get help in korean? I was a member of a korean language community here, but it looks like it's been inactive for about a year now. I kind of want someone to look over something I've written :/
You can try lang-8? I started using it to practice my Japanese and people have been super helpful so far. You can post what you write and they look over it and tell you what's wrong. You can get quite a few corrections because it seems very active so that's extra helpful in some cases (for instance if there's more than one right answer).
I still haven't heard back from the only professor who can write me a letter of recommendation and I'm getting nervous. I don't know how much more growling I can do.
I think I'm heading towards the end of my life as a Kpop fan. I might still like the music but I just cant emotionally invest in anyone anymore. More than the whole Jisoo scandal, Woollim's bullshit statement burned me more than anything. It's a foolhardy thing to say but I don't want to buy from them anymore (I'm seriously pissed off still) but Infinite was really the only group I could be consistent with my support for. I don't know... I've been getting into BTS but I don't want to invest in them like I have with Infinite because I don't want to be disappointed again.
I'm like that too I'm getting tired of being emotionally invested in someone. I just keep listening to the songs, but I can't find myself staning people/groups anymore. the only one I do is SHINee.
I just started watching last week because BTOB was on it!! I haven't watched the earlier episodes of the current ANTM cycle 'cause I was already watching KNTM (whose cycle just ended a few weeks ago). But I'm gonna keep watching until the cycle ends.
Even though I've only watched one episode, my favorite is Will.
i'm feeling crabby because the shelf thingy in the bathroom with all our soap and beauty products collapsed and came crashing down on me for the 2nd time in a month. the first time it happened i thought i bumped it, but this time i was nowhere near it
i think my assessment went well, hopefully i'll get hired. i wanted the job before because hey, money, but you get to work at some pretty neat events and it sounds interesting.
I was watching Live with Kelly & Michael today, and everyone was having a good time and all that jazz. They jokingly said that this random couple in the audience seemed drunk since they were all giggly and stuff, but turns out they just got engaged! The girl, Sarah, explained that it was a dream of her's to get proposed to while at the show, but her BF (Nelson) did it yesterday to surprise her. Then Kelly said, well let's make your dream come true, and asked Nelson to propose to her right then and there again. They did it, and everyone was cheering and clapping and it was so sweet and happy.
Dude situation from last week has come to a frustrating standstill. He wrote me about some art stuff, but completely blocks whenever it gets to sth not art-related. Oh whatever.
That said, my current animation project is hair-pulling levels of frustrating to work on, but I'm also learning a lot working on somebody else's film. I think I'm gonna go home with some cool new skills.
On a sidenote, I've been listening to "Laundry Service", "Fijacion Oral Vol 1" and "Donde estan los ladrones" by Shakira nonstop for days now, I just wanted to point out that these are some of the most solid pop albums ever made. Really puts back into perspective how crappy a lot of idol music is, even though there are of course some gems there.
What do you think will happen to the Suju members once they disband?
Siwon: becomes one of Asia's biggest actors and models, continues world domination, becomes a darling of lots of fashion houses, a regular Cannes judge, and even dabbles in Hollywood at times.
Kangin: grows tired of idol life and settles down, falls in love, and becomes a father. Occasionally fills in for Suju members if need be on radio shows, etc.
Leeteuk: Stays on with SM, helps with trainees.
Heechul: starts a highly controversial talk show discussing current events and idol life in which he exposes shit. Is blacklisted by most, but continues to not give a shit. Also seems to grow further obsessed with Frozen.
Kyuhyun: has a moderately successful solo career, but only in Asia, and can't seem to really make it big enough.
Shindong: directs MV's, and dabbles in directing shorts and even movies.
Donghae/Hyuk: as a duo, they blow up. They achieve success outside of Asia, but only for a short time like Psy. Donghae becomes a relatively successful actor and singer.
Ryeowook/Yesung: attempt solo careers, but don't really make it.
Sungmin: marries, and does the occasional performance or stunt, but prefers marriage and being quiet.

And I just started watching Master's Sun but even if the ghosts are ridiculous, I don't feel at ease. I don't know why I'm so easily scared. In my experience (which is mostly hindsight because I'm pretty oblivious to guy signals too), every guy is different. Some of them act nervous, some of them are over-confident, and some will just avoid you entirely. If you can, get a friend to watch how he interacts with you because I think it's probably easier to catch the little things when you're on the outside.
Or you can just ask him out and see where it goes! :)
