plot
When big money is at stake, to what levels will people stoop to win it all? Because of varied circumstances, both Nam Da Jung (Kim So Eun), a naïve and honest college student, and Cha Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yoon), a former psychology professor at Seoul National University and genius swindler, become contestants on the “Liar Game” reality show, which is billed as a “psychological survival game.” Contestants are expected to lie, cheat and use whatever means possible to emerge victorious and walk away with the coveted ₩10 billion. Hosted by the devious MC, Kang Do Young (Shin Sung Rok), with the help of his trusty PD, Lee Yoon Joo (Cha Soo Yeon), the reality show pushes its participants to the edge of morality and beyond. Who will emerge to win it all?

The last two episodes were mind blowing and don't get me started about the last scene, hell Shin Sung Rok really knows how to play creepy and the Tocqueville and Walden Two references were brilliant.

I'm still waiting until that Director and Jamie realize that Do Young has been toying w/ them. I'm starting to like the PD, I feel like she might backstab Do Young.

However Nam Da Jung needs some character development, so far it's been too slow compared to Woo Jin.

omg the scene when SSR was laughing in the mirror was so great.

did they do the coin flip thing in the japanese version? idr but i think it's a really good lead-in to if/when ha woo jin does the fake going-crazy thing during the smuggling game, maybe making it more believable since he lost the first time and maybe make do young feel more in control(?) idk how to explain lmfao

anyway, i hope the PD gets to take down Do Young somehow

I stopped watching this one unfortunately. It wasn't Liar Game enough for me. The reality show format sucks to me.

At first I didn't like the reality show format, but as I'm watching, I see how they are giving the story a little spin, K-style way. While watching more and more episodes, the show dragged me in and kept my attention.

Maybe because in the Japanese version, the lead female character was irking my nerves or I was trying to make sense of why the Liar Game exists, but I think the concept of it being a reality show works out well.

it's unfortunate that this is running the same time as the genius because the two are becoming pretty similar, and the genius is more interesting in that it's actually real people on the show.

however i still love liar game, the manga, the movies, and will probably still continue watching this drama. soeun is a qt

This is so good. The actor that plays Kang Do Young is so good at being creepy & evil. It's weird that I'm attracted to him even though he's like the 'bad guy'. Lol
