missA’s Suzy Responds to Hater on Twitter

missA’s Suzy has shown that she is like everyone of us who can reach her tipping point and fight back when provoked.

According to TV Report on November 10, the nation’s first love Suzy has broken her silence and responded to a Twitter user who has been sending her hateful messages last month.

The Twitter user, whom TV Report chose not to name, has left hurtful tweets on Suzy’s Twitter such as “You unfortunate person… I hope you get into a car crash and die…” and “Be banished from the entertainment world! Get into a car accident and die.”

While messages like this could easily be buried by other messages from Suzy’s fans, the Twitter user must have sent Suzy a lot of messages that she was able to see some of them. On November 9, Suzy replied to this Twitter user and said, “I see, you hope that I die.”



At a guesting on the KBS 2TV show “The Human Condition” in December last year, Suzy mentioned that she looks at everything positively, including hateful messages. “However, when I get stressed, I scream and run by the Han River,” Suzy revealed how she gets over hateful messages. (Maybe running by the Han River didn’t work this time?)

Meanwhile, Suzy will be seen next in the upcoming movie “Dori Artist” wherein she stars alongside Ryu Seung Ryong, Kim Nam Gil, and Song Sae Byeok.


Update:

JYP Entertainment has stated to the media that it will handle this as it does in any other cases of hateful comments- the agency’s legal team will look into the situation and report to the police if need be.

What is happening with that group??! They are all the type to live alone (Suzy needs a roommate but she seems like the type that likes the "idea" of Independence) but it's amazing how separated they all are.

I can see Min being bitter, because she definitely thinks she's better than she actually is (which is mainly JYPEUSA's fault), but I don't see Jia and Fei giving Suzy's success more than a "pretty people = happy life" and then hair flip away.

honestly over the years following miss a it was quite evident (to me) that min was never fully pleased with her debut in a group and not as a solo and the fact that suzy is the big star of the group and that she (min) isn't a bigger act, she used to leave a lot of passive agressive tweets and make other odd remarks during interviews.

suzy's distance with fei and jia is due to living separately and busy schedules, they barely saw each other when they lived together and now that they live apart and the girls have their chinese schedules while suzy is busy with hers, they never can really meet up and when suzy has the time she either sleeps or goes to visit her family.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot that they pretty much spend half their time filming Chinese dramas.
I know they're not "Chinese pretty" but I hope the get a second lead role in a mega hit. Then they can just milk that for 5 years.

I'm actually really happy with how their solo careers are working out. The chinese members are getting gigs everywhere, Suzy's Suzy, and none for Min. Now they just need a group comeback and a Asia tour and I won't worry about them become the next Wonder Girls.

actually they are 'chinese pretty', in fact jia to me has a face that reminds me of chinese and taiwanese actresses a lot, and only in korea some people have issues with her looks. honestly idk why fei didn't score any drama parts in china rn, i believe they are trying to build her career as a tv personality over there, seeing the amount of shows she is a judge/participates of, and jia got a pretty nice part in the crystal liu and song seung hun's movie, being crystal's little sister that is involved with ssh, so it can be a good door opener for her.

Jia's face is strange, I know she's gorgeous yet I've seen so many unflattering pictures of her get published :/ I understand how Korea could be fooled into thinking she's average. I think Jia could easily make it if she was marketed as a fashionista~ She has everything she needs to be the Asia's Alexa Chung.

slightly related, park hae jin recently did volunteering work with his fans and the people who spread rumors about him on the internet - i thought it was a great way of dealing with it because those people had to face park hae jin themselves and try to explain why they did such a thing and it was a nice reminder for future haters who could face the same fate of embarrassment if they try something like that.

It's hateful comments like this that makes us, fans that follows her close, be concerned about her mental health. Like I said on nb, girl has been on the industry for almost 5 years now and the amount of hate she gets only gets stronger. And this is serious stuff, specially when she said more than once that she suffers of depression and her answering a mean tweet like that, when we know that she lives alone in the dorm, is really concerning. By the little she talks about her life we can see how lonely she is and how much she misses home. People forget that idols are human beings and they suffer a lot from insecurity in their looks, work and personal life, they are followed and analysed head to toe everyday. People also forget that idols just died in a tragic car accident that affected everyone and even miss A got into a minor car accident once, so Suzy must’ve been shocked and probably cried from this. She’s not that strong minded to accept daily threats, insults, and everybody saying that she’s just a trend , with a pretty face and that soon her bubble will burst. Her mom visits her often and do charity work on her behalf but there is only that much that a mother can fulfill. Her mother always says that her family is only living a better life because of Suzy’s effort and this only increase her fear of not being able to help her mother and her family anymore in the future, that’s why she never have stopped working and never went on a vacation. Even when she gets some time to spend with guy friends they all get shut down easily. I feel so bad for my bb, so I hope JYPE actually do something right and take action.

Suzy's response tho is a little confusing to me -- I can't tell if she was aiming to call the tweeter out by directly approaching them (Oh you want me to die) or if she was wondering that she's done something so wrong with her life that it was normal for them to say that to her (I've done something worthy of death)

I think she meant it in a really depressing way. Suzy is really polite with everyone and her extremely cheerful aura was constantly tonned down by the demands of her company to make her the perfect idol. But what really closed herself off was the huge amount of hate she got from that stupid award show and her speech. She reads everything people says about her so she probably read the shit storm of things haters said about her that time, without being able to answer.

Julian Casablancas (the singer from the Strokes) did an interview recently about how dangerous the anonymity that comes with internet use is. Nothing productive ever gets said because people are so secure with the fact that no one in their real lives knows what assholes they are online. If there wasn't anonymity, there would be more constructive criticism and less malevolent, pointless hate. Its really sad that she has to read that. Tbh, if I was a celeb (especially if I was as successful as Suzy) I would not have any twitter/instagram/etc. Its not like she needs the self promotion.
