I haven't watched episode 8 yet but episode 7 was great. it was slower than usual but still amazing. I love Gu Rae more every week. The way he teared up at the end of episode 7 bc there was nothing he could do to help his boss made me tear up lol

i love kang ha neul's character too bc just when i want to root for him, he does something unlikable and i'm like :( but that's how most people are I guess...no one is good all the time, especially when they are down and stressed out.

i wish there were more prominent female characters in this show, but I guess the lack of women reflects the reality of the business world, especially in certain countries. I love Kang Sora though. She's doing an amazing job.

I'm personally happy that they're highlighting the amount of sexism Young-yi has to deal with in the office. I was afraid they'd only use her for objectifying scenes like the one from the beginning of episode 1. Admittedly, the show is a bit too much of a sausage fest at times and you still get the feeling like the manpain is depicted as being supposedly a lot more relatable.

And the butterface jokes have really got to stop too (episode 7 and 8's finance manager & the business partner's wife), that's some classic ass male-gaze humor right there...

mte with your entire comment. I was so disappointed when the show included the butterface jokes...

yeah i laughed about the butterface jokes at first but then I was like...wait a minute. But that stuff does go on irl on the regular so I guess its good that they're stick to reality. Even American cinema/TV rarely strays from guy friendships so i'm not surprised we're not seeing much female friendship (although I do like that the women in the show seem to support each other bc of their mutual struggles).

Kang Haneul is sooooo good in ep 8. I can practically feel his anger bubbling on the surface.
I wonder if the new guy is the same one that Geurae chased in ep 1.
And they broke the fourth wall! It was unexpected but I love it!

episode 8 has so many cute moments!
it was good to have light scenes even when they're talking about serious things...

I love that with each episode we get to see more into the characters personalities and back stories. Mr Oh is resolute in doing the right thing, Young Gi obviously had a hard time in her life that made hide herself behind her confidence, Baek Ki is rather unlikeable at the moment and he gives up rather easily but Sook Yeol seems to be breaking down his barriers a bit.

Sook Yeol might be my favourite character after Geu Rae because although he started out rather arrogant, we got to see the cracks in his facade and has since evolved into someone who does everything he can for the people he considers his friends (even if they don't themselves).

I've become slightly obsessed with this drama, and it never lets me down.

sook yeol seems like a younger version of a wiser man that shows up to give his advice even if no one wants to hear. I want more of him - especially with geu rae.

Yeah, Suk-yool is finally showing some redeeming qualities - I'm glad. he's being a bit of a hypocrite for now lol but at least he's becoming aware of it

skipping over everything just to say that i started watching this last night and i'm on episode 3 and legit this is the most beautifully acted, written, and directed kdrama i have EVER seen.

also---siwan is a damn good actor. i was shocked when i found out he was an idol negl---he is legit slaying my soul in this role.

does anyone kno how it's doing in terms of ratings/popularity?

Really good for cable. I think it's reached 6% already. It'll be the biggest cable drama this year for sure if the ratings keep going up

welcome~

I think that viewers don't want a loveline so I think it will go the way of school 2013 and leave it out

This drama is everything I was promised and more. Every episode delivers. Every. damn. one. Lee Sung Min and Siwan together are just magic, and I'm so happy that So Ra is getting a role/show that deserves her.

Kang Ha Neul is such a fantastic actor, but (at least as of now) Baek Ki is such an unlikable prick. Kudos to KHN for portraying him with so much depth, but I cannot stand his petty, arrogant, self-entitled, bad attitude. I'm afraid they're gearing up for an eventual blow up re: his jealousy over GR/his work situation, but I hope he will grow somehow in the aftermath.

Also, the Steel supervisor guy is attractive. I said it.

Ohh we finally get to meet the guy that was running away in the first ep!
ep 7 for me was really confusing lol i dont get alot of the terminology or what really went wrong (so im waiting for a dramabeans recap since they explain and clarify alot of things for me)

but im completely in love with this drama right now. I get super sad whenever i finish the last ep for the week and it feels like i wait for such a long time till the next ones haha.

I loved the part in ep 8 when mr.oh tripped up young yi's sunbae hahahah i died laughing.

If Misaeng keeps this up, I think it might end up being one of my favorite Korean shows ever. It's working its way up to Secret Love Affair's spot. Everything is really well done. The acting, the cinematography, the writing. I like that the story is well-balanced between different characters. I like that they're talking about women's experiences in the workplace. And I really like that they don't dumb down the workplace goings-on for the audience. More raw materials procurement and bills of lading please hnnng

BAEKGI.....I want to hug and punch you. His impatience makes ME impatient...lol. His manager is right, but he just doesn't seem to get it much at all. Also, is it weird that I have a thing for the Steel Manager? My direct quote regarding Sookyeol and his actions in episode 8: "Don't try and make me like you, you stupid fuck." I mean how dare they give him redeeming qualities? I am UPset.

Also, Geurae just laughing at Manager Oh's desk simply tickled the hell out of me...lol.

I just watched episode 8 but all I want to say is that Sukyeol is so annoying yet cute at the same time??? Also, I NEED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE INTERNS TO BE ON TEAM 3 NOW THEY'D BE GREAT TOGETHER (except maybe Baek-ki just because he pisses me off)

I was actually hoping to see more of the characters doing what they do in the weekends, I think it would be fun to see the different sides of the characters when they're away from work!
