I'm having some problems with my flatmates lately... I mean they are douchebags in general but recently they really stepped up their jerk game. They left me a super rude note about playing music, using the word 'shit' to describe the music I like to play... he actually used a stronger word and basically the note was uber rude. Not to mention he couldn't spell bathroom in my lang properly. IMHO it's not a big issue so he could talk to me... the moment I left kitchen for a sec to get something from my room he run there and left it. I have the habit of playing songs a lot but we've been living together for over a year and suddenly this became an issue.
Like he plays games on a video stream, speaking pretty loud to other people even late at night and when I talked about it to him, he never saw it as in issue. He never even cleans anywhere else but the room he shares with another idiot... According to them the fact that I'm a girl automaticlly makes me the cleaner. SMH
They actually wanted to fool our landlord into paying half the rent for summer as they weren't supposed to stay... but they did :/ I called her about it not only cause I was paying the full but seriously, she's a really chill person, why would they want to cheat her? They have guests staying over almost all days during the week too. It has gotten really uncomfortable.

Funny thing that after they left me that ugly note yesterday suddenly today they wanted some help from me... Which is really dumb IMHO cause I'm a person that hardly forgets the shit you've done.
Today they expected me to act like a porter for some girl from their major. It's not the first time, they always get super offended when I don't open the door for them... They weren't home, and she supposedly wanted to get in. I ignored her intercom calls. I only pick them up when I expect someone so yeah. Maybe I wouldn't ignore all of them if not for that rude note. When they called me on mobile phone I used my favorite technique of answering a call = picking up without saying anything, no hello no yoboseyo. People get super confused, try it.

I'm so mad, sorry for this essay... I try to ignore them but I'm too emotional for this shit :/
I think me blasting (not really loud tho) Kanjani8 (lol, I like their new single) when I was making breakfast at 9am got one of them mad... Who cares really. My landlady is bit pissed with them and told me she maybe will kick them out by next month... but knowing her I doubt that. But honestly I think I will move out then. I'm a way better resident than those jerks too, the whole flat (except my room) is falling apart cause they don't care for maintenance at all so I too try to give less a damn.

I just started training at my new job and there is so much information I have to learn, so of course I caught a cold this week so I've been feeling lightheaded and tired the entire time I'm training lol The shift is 6pm-12am until I'm settled in so I just train all night and sleep 13 hours when I get home. I'm normally not that much of a sleeper but this cold is trying to take me down.

Anyway I didn't get to be excited about epik high's new album with everyone else so i'm just now listening to it before I have to go to work again.

Hey guys, can this nice global community help me out.
For a capstone project I would like to explore how language shapes thought. For this I was wondering if anyone can tell me words in your language that do not have a direct English translation. I know we have people here whose first language is not English and your contribution would help me out.
If you don't mind, please write the word both in your writing system and phonetically. Also please give like a brief description of what the word basically encapsulates or possibly means.

there are so many... when i'm writing in english i can't think of any, though.

something i was trying to figure out hard in english recently was the two types of red we have in hungarian.
vörös (no clue how to write phonetically... if you can read german, it'd be wörösch. or 버러시 in hangul maybe:D)
piros (pirosch for german, peerash, 비로시?)

vörös and piros are both red in english. in hungarian, vörös is the red of blood, very hot fire, bloody eyes, embarrassed cheeks, the sexy dress, wine. piros would be the traffic lights, kids' healthy cheeks, apples, pen/pencil, food that is red... mostly, but these can be changed depending on emotions. vörös would be the more emotionally intense, piros is more neutral and pure.

This week was good! I found a great cute little apartment with my roomie for hopefully the next couple of years, and we just finished the paperwork today. And I had an interview today with a company's specific team (the one working on stuff I want to do) that went decently well (he said he liked my background + I had some relevant experience). How are you guys all doing? Any plans tonight? I've got the place to myself the whole weekend, so here comes the karaoke and blasting music/shows on the tv B)

as for me, this week was very stressful. i have a lot of studying to do, ugh. my back has also been aching more and usual this weekend, and even now i'm leaning back on this pillow i put against my chair lol. i signed up for yoga classes in order to help my back, and i think it's helping. my doctor suggested that i should swim, but it sucks because i can't even swim in the first place ahhh. and when i try to find other physical activities to do, i either don't have enough time or i just feel super lazy so...;___;

and i feel really bad for avoiding my ex, but idk...he's messaged me a couple of times saying stuff like how he misses me even though we already broke up how many months ago. idk how to deal with this, so i've just been avoiding the problem, sighhhh o__o

Yoga was amazing for my back (two slipped discs whee). Besides swimmin, weightlifting was the other thing that's been really awesome, and since I mostly just have a cheap set of dumbbell/barbell from the thrift shop stuffed under the bed, I can still (sometimes) manage it even when I have almost no time.

In class yesterday I had two students who were singing and humming and beating on their desks while I was trying to teach and instead of sending them to the front desk assistants or the principal (like I'm supposed to) I put them out in the hallway with their hands above their heads. I left the door open so I could keep an eye on them and they came back in after five minutes. They were much better behaved than if I had sent them to the assistants or principal. LOL I did the "asian mom" punishment, as my korean co-worker calls it.

I am excited but I have no plans other than traveling to see a friend run a half marathon on the 1st.

I did teach my ESL students about Halloween and it was AMAZING. (As most of them have been in the US for less than 3 months) I brought masks, hats and glasses from home so they could wear one and knock on the classroom door saying "Trick or Treat!" One my my new students didn't really want to say it so at one point after he knocked on the door and I opened it he said, "Give me candy!" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Afterwards we did a costume bingo where we used Hershey kisses as the bingo pieces where at the end of each round they kept the candy they had acquired. The first round I drew and read all of the costume names but then for the next 3 rounds we all took turns drawing and reading (which helped their pronunciation). By the end of the night I had my one guy from the Sudan perfectly say "Zombie" and I felt so proud.

hello! i think i may have posted in an omona ffa a loooong time ago, i don't remember, eek! excuse me then please!

i go in for surgery tomorrow to remove my gallbladder, which should be fine, i just really hope i get to go home the same day too!! i'm just not particularly jazzed because i only got out of hospital on wednesday and i still have about ten bruises from the experience ~_~ oh well!
so i am spending my evening reading mass effect fanfiction and chilling out and enjoying myself which is the best thing really
i go nil by mouth at 7am!! which isn't too bad (i had a friend ask me what 'nil by mouth' meant, as he's never been in the hospital ever, i am so so jealous)
please wish me luck!!

otherwise, how are you all? c: i saw the dance practice video for 2pm's go crazy today and it made me so so happy!!! i love seeing dance practice videos (the two i've seen of orange caramel are magnificent as well, nana's scream in the catallena vid is legendary, and the vid for shinee's lucifer is so good but so different in atmosphere, a lot more intense!)

For what it's worth, I got to go home the same day when I had my gallbladder out. The surgery was pretty easy. I was back to normal activity in 8 days. There were very slight after effects for about 6 months, and then I felt totally normal from there on out. I hope you have an easy time of it! Fighting!

omg i feel you. lipstick is always the controversial issue for some reason. i was sitting in a library yesterday and eavesdropped on some dudebros talking between themselves. they were all like, "why do girls even wear lipstick? they always look better without it and it makes a mess" like it was genuinely, completely beyond them why women would wear lipstick. lol. i get similar comments about my nails bc i keep them super long and manicured. my male friend was like, "why do you go through the trouble? i've never heard of a guy who prefers long nails on a girl-"
