I love old K-pop MVs, I had a blast when I watched all Brown Eyes / SG Wannabe's MVs since mostly all of the lead in the MVs die without fail in them. XD
sg wannabe had the best ones! esp saldaga, man it was sad my faves though are lee soo young's mvs, like grace - which had another two parts too and i still dunno really what happend in them but they had lee junki practicing kendo :p
Saldaga is amazing but I didnt like the MV since all they did is fighting in that. :P My fave is the one with Dongwan from ShinHwa -- the ending was kind of sad but awesome. SG Wannabe sing one of the best songs in the industry back then. I wonder why they stopped. Their 'I Love You' MV was kind of weird since I didnt expect it to be about ghost lol.
The Junki ones are the only LSY's MV that I watched. Didnt exactly remember what happened in the MV but I remember it was boring since all I remember is him practising kendo in an empty room/corridor? I think I need to watch the MV again. Perhaps I will understand it more now than I did back then. :P
Grace was not that much interesting of the MV (still better than many other MVs nowadays), but I freaking love the song. Combine with the MV, it just breaks my heart every time I watch it :(
he's just trendy...like he doesnt have those things you mentioned above but he trends when he's shown on tv. like that running man trailer for soccer. he was just shown for a FEW secs but suddenly he's most searched on kr portals

He is very popular in Korea and the nickname trend idol comes from the fact that whatever he does, it ends up on the trending lists of the Korean search engines. He's pretty shy so he actually hates it and gets flustered when someone mentions it.
He's got a lot of fans, especially fanboys and in Showtime they others mentioned he gets recognized the most by older people.His internet presence is huge, he's topped every Korean search engine multiple times through just a few seconds of tv exposure.His resemblance to Sohee helps because Korea loves his kind of face. That's where the 'hot trend Xiumin' nickname came from. Why SM doesn't capitalize on his popularity is beyond me but when have they ever done anything right.
Minseok is perfection. I just wish he wasn't so shy so he'd get more exposure but his shyness is still part of his charms. If you're a Xiumin fan you should YouTube search the vid of EXO members spelling their names with their bums. Mins got style
