Yaassss Seungsoo and Gibbeum are through - very happy with the Top Three : D Was kind of hoping Jieun or Minjung would pull a surprise upset but Chulwoo's photo was undeniably the better one. But now I really can't predict who will win (please tell me it's not a popularity vote...because I assume the Chulwoo/Seungsoo fangirls are going to dominate).
I was laughing aloud at the 'appeal to Gibbeum' part, especially when Jieeun just makes a heart and Chulwoo's like, 'You don't want to go???' ahahaha And 'you can't drink with minors'. heh.
Seungsoo is really becoming a favourite (even though I'm rooting for Gibbeum) - I loved his positive attitude and generosity when Gibbeum 'stole' his 30 shots and they seem to have a really cute noona-dongsaeng relationship in general. Totally agree with scary magazine lady when she says Seungsoo and Gibbeum have that sense that they 'get' fashion and with the general critique that Chulwoo isn't as great with 'ordinary' clothes. I'm so glad the judges thought Chulwoo looked like TOP too! I was saying that from Day One!
yesss I get the feeling that Gibbeum is a really sweet person. I kind of squealed when she picked Yongsoo for the watch prize since she said he seemed like he was suffering the most.
I really want her to win :x I like all three but Seungsoo has just been giving me fierce 100% of the time and I don't feel like he has showcased if he can pull off things other than fierce (also he sometimes give off a really...greasy vibe). Chulwoo does look like TOP but I feel like that is a minus for him in terms of being a high fashion type of dude.

Gibeum needs to win if they want their winner to have an actual career, Chulwoo stole Jieun's spot imo, not happy about him being in the top 3, he was not consistent, he's just handsome but he looks like an idol and has nothing to offer to the fashion industry, imo he doesn't have what it takes to have a solid career outside Korea.
When either Gibbeum and Seungsoo won every challenge for a few of the earlier episodes I knew both would go far in the competition, so I'm happy that they are both in the top 3. Gibbeum's my favorite so I hope she wins!
I don't get all the Cheolwoo hate/lukewarmness; he doesn't have the super Eastern features that are favoured in Asian models but he's undeniably good looking, has a great body, dresses well, is receptive to 'out-there' things, has a sense of humour/personality, takes good photos, and is actually very dedicated to modelling (he puts a lot of thought into the mood and feeling of the shoot and the composition of the photo). Do I think he's ~high fashion~? No, I'm not blind. But those aren't the only models out there - there are tons of pretty male models making a crapload off of campaigns too. (edit: this is just in response to the general dislike I see for him on forums etc)
That being said, I'm still rooting for Hwang Gibbeum. I just need her to step her game up and be as awesome again because it feels like she's hitting a wall at this point (but GIRL your face and body!!! ;__;).
aw is there hate for Chulwoo, he seems like such a wonderful person (yes I have been stalking his instagram a little) and though he may not be the most edgy, he fits into the current cohort of model/actors just fine...
which forums have you been frequenting? in general, I don't see KNTM discussions going on anywhere :(
mostly just RTVgames.com (because I'm too lazy to watch the show for the pretty photos) and tumblr and here. Mostly people don't like his face because it's too ~idol-y~; I don't really get why that's such a bad thing since he's still one of the more versatile models.
The top3 is actually quite predictable since the middle of the season. Minjung & Jieun had a weak start, and not quite stable in the top 3 photos.
I'm so rooting for Ggibbeum.. She's basically had everything that Asian Model need to success outside asian. While Seungsoo and Chulwoo, i could predict them in the next 3years would have been starred in some MV or Drama as Model-turn-Actor.
This season basically a great refreshment from previous season. The guys & girls blend so well, they had a cute noona/oppa-dongsaeng relationship, not too much drama but still have the sense of competition between them.
this top 3 is definitely my top 3 and I'm happy for all of them.
who should win? Probably Gibbeum, she is really an amazing model and i do think she deserves it... BUT Seungsoo has totally stolen my heart. If either of them win I would be very pleased.
This show is so great and superior to the one that spawned it, I'm never watching ANTM again!
i'm annoyed that chulwoo stole one of the top three spots (I don't dislike him I just would have preferred one of the other girls). i feel like minjung had a steadier climb from the bottom than jieun but either of them would've done for me.
i'm glad one of the judges at least vaguely acknowledged that seungsoo could get boring. i'm glad in the last couple of episodes we've seen him tone down the GLARE AT THE CAMERA poses, because i liked him a lot before i started getting bored of the same faces each time.
i assume there'll be runways in the last episode which should be interesting - if i remember correctly, gibbeum was one of the worst walkers. i hope she hits her stride in the finale both figuratively and literally!
Saw seungsoo and gibeum making it a mile away haha chulwoo surprised me tho, i thought he woud have been eliminated this time. Nice to see all of them going to a darker-hair colour too :) yaay for reunion!
I was really hoping that it wouldn't be Cheolwoo but Jieun instead. He's pretty in a K-pop idol way but he annoys me...I can't quite put my finger on it, but I thought Jieun was soooooo much better. She deserved a place in the final, and I'm sad that she didn't get it. I said at the beginning of the episode that this three would be the most boring top three. It's still boring.
Apparently according to someone on tumblr, the previews for ep 12 aren't promising for Gibbeum. :(
I call sabotage on Minjung. They said she was doing so well, yet for the second week running they picked a terrible photo and this time the guest judges basically said she couldn't model at all?? She was doing so well and she didn't deserve these blights on her portfolio.
In other news, Kim Youngkwang is goooooooooooooooorgeous and kind of reminds me of a very cute puppy. His smiles are extremely endearing and I want to pet him. What a cute man!
