Slay! Crayon Pop's iconic anthem is featured on ABC's "Selfie"

On the 4th episode of American broadcasting station’s ABC romantic comedy, Selfie, starring Korean-American actor John Cho, Crayon Pop’s ‘Bar Bar Bar’ was aired with leads John Cho and Karen Gillian dancing to it.

John Cho is best known for his roles in ‘Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle’ (2004) and the ‘Star Trek’ series (2009 and 2013). Cho came back to the small screen to co-star with Karen Gilian in this spunky, new series.

‘Selfie’ follows the lives of Eliza and Henry, with the former “more interested in getting likes than being liked,” and the latter more interested in the credo “all work, no play.” Throughout the course of the show, social media user Eliza will attempt to become a more likable person in real life with Henry’s help. The show has been deemed to be a modern remake of ‘My Fair Lady’ as both female protagonists are named Eliza and both shows feature similar plots.

Is anyone watching this? There are certain things that make me cringe and I usually don't go for rom-coms but this is cute. The leads are good (especially Karen Gillian) and have good chemistry. Too bad about the ratings though.

John and Karen make the show for me, they have cute chemistry. The writing of the show is subpar though and sometimes the way John's character talks to Karen's make me cringe. The writers are lucky they got these actors tbh.

yeah the pilot wasnt v flattering but since then the show has picked up imo. it has alot of charm and potential. i adored this week's ep actually. was not expecting the crayon pop bit haha. i was like WAT but then i jammed too cause that song is 2 catchy XD
