Gayoon and HyunA cancel activities after the tragic accident at Pangyo



4Minute members Gayoon and HyunA‘s activities for October 19 and October 20 have been cancelled after the tragic accident that occurred during their performance in Pangyo.

As Seoul Fashion Week is currently underway, Gayoon was scheduled to appear at the photo wall for the Lucky Chouette 2015 S/S fashion show on October 19, and HyunA was supposed to attend the photo wall for Steve J & Yoni P‘s 2015 S/S fashion show on October 20.

However, after the tragedy that occurred during their performance, Gayoon and HyunA have respectfully decided to not attend these activities.

Although the concert was not planned by 4Minute’s agency Cube Entertainment, as the accident happened during the girl group’s performance, Cube Entertainment nonetheless issued an official statement to voice their condolences.

it's so fucking annoying that the media is calling this the 4minute incident or something similar or reporting that the event occurred during 4minute performance because while it's not necessarily false, it's shifting the focus to 4minute when it wasn't even their event, they were among several artists who performed that day. it's fucking ridiculous that cube has to apologize for anything or cancel their schedule, they did not do anything wrong.

eh cancelling the schedule i understand because that would be a pretty fucked up thing to go through as a performer, especially not noticing it

but i also feel like associating it with 4minute is kind of a disservice to the victims, since they were so tangentially related to it? like, you're just associating it w/ celebrities because that makes it more ~dramatic~ or something, idk how to explain it

oh yeah i understand canceling events because you're traumatized or something but cube's gone the we're so sorry this happened type of remorseful approach, which is safe in terms of pr but it still sucks since this isn't their fault, you know?

a lot of public also think this happened during a 4minute concert since the media has been so damn active in calling it the 4minute incident. ugh.

it must be tough. it must suck to know that you were performing, and you didn't even notice people dying cause of the rest of the crowd... not their fault, but i see why they feel bad. :(
