Sohee Considers Role in tvN′s New Drama ′Heart to Heart′

Former Wonder Girls member, Sohee, is positively considered a new role in Heart to Heart.

tvN told Newsen on Ocotber 20, "It appears that Sohee will appear in Heart to Heart. We′re discussing the final details right now."

Heart to Heart is a healing romance story that takes place in a psychiatric ward as the characters learn to heal from their wounds. Sohee is currently considering the role of male character, Go Yi Seok′s younger sister, Go Sae.

Meanwhile, Heart to Heart will be directed by Lee Yoo Jung, who recently became a freelancer after leaving MBC.

sorry, i just can't buy it, the girl has been wishing to act for a really time and i doubt that the lead male's third removed cousin dog hairdresser is what she wanted to play when leave jype.

this is a lee santa company's move to create sympathy and earn brownie points for her, why else would it take so long for her to get an acting gig under their care? especially when previously they clearly were scouting projects that she could be a lead (first or second, or a assemble cast).

this was a while back when i was more active in the dc and baidu forums of life so i can't remember exactly where, but apparently the company was searching for projects that would put her name out there and show her color, and they were aiming for movies, especially indie ones.

I definitely remember a statement from the company saying that. Actually, I want to say it was JYPE? I think this was when WG went on hiatus and they were reporting all the gigs everyone would be up to. Idk, I just remember a company saying they were being selective with their role picking to show her true colors and that she was getting many love calls. Shortly after she starred in that mini series as the lead role.

I know with this company she was supposed to be filming a movie back in March, not sure if that actually happened though.

i really think it was bh after they signed her (or they said something very similar) as they were receiving many love calls but were choosing the right one to launch her as actress so hee (her name romanization even changed from ahn so hee to an so hee, why they did that i don't know).

If this is really true, why is it bad? Every company wants the public to like their products or in this case celebrities . This is marketing 101.

Yes, BH could've easily scored a leading role for her but instead they got her some CF deals and made her go to a few events. Imo it's better than SM who always try to push their idols towards leading roles despite the fact that these idols sometimes suck.

Actually, if I recall corectly she acted in something before and K-netz were okay with her acting. Anyway I wish her good luck and I'm happy for her, since acting was what she wanted to do originaly

oh yes I know that, I just meant the general attitude towards idols acting in comments. tho, I also know that the general k-netz attitude isn't neccesarily telling a lot either, because people tend to complain and judge beforehand alot more online anyway and they're small numbers of people in comparison too.

She's imo good aka better than the average idol actress (e.g Sunhwa or Dasom) but I don't see her yet on Eunji's or Joon's level. According to rumors she was supposed to play the lead (instead of Suzy) in Dream High but JYP shipped them off to the US and didn't keep his promise.

I've no idea how JYP planned it I know that they shipped the girls off to the US earlier than expected and around 2008 Sohee fell into a slump and wanted to leave WG, the criticism really hit her (Jo Kwon said she basically turned into a sobbing mess with no confidence) and she wanted to focus on acting but JYP (tbh JYP's co-founder Hong aka Cube's CEO) could barley convince her to stay and I believe when Dream High was finalized they were like eff it (and by 2009 Hong had left JYP anyway), why go through the stress of coordinating her schedules between two countries, if we can just use somebody who's here.

it just happened this year, so not that long. she's had endorsements, she was in a mini drama, and now this. i like to think she's studying and taking acting lessons when we don't see her

she is nowhere on eunji and joon's levels (tbh eunji isn't on joon's level either), but she is not bad (aka terrible dasom, sica and yuri levels), she has potential to grow and florish

my only issue with her is that her stage charisma doesn't translate to her when acting, so while she is not bad she just doesn't do it for me and it ends up being bland.
