In this case I can kind of see where the upset people are coming from. Getting into a Suju fansign costs a LOT of money from the 10s of albums you'll have to purchase from what I understand, and it's possibly the only 5 mins someone will get to be face to face with their cherished idol in their lives. So to bring his gf into it (if that's what he's doing) I find it a little disrespectful. There are many places for this kind of thing, but a fansign doesn't really feel appropriate for it.

(some) K-ELF are behaving like absolute deranged lunatics this week, wanting him kicked out of the group and then, once it was clear that wasn't happening, to have him withdrawn from the repack album. It was the full bit - death threats, ripping and burning merch, mutilated photos - and all from women whom we must presume are in their 20s if they're claiming to have been stanning for nine years. I'm surprised - I'm the first to admit that he is pretty nugu so I'm astonished that they even give that much of a shit.

The repack date and artwork is announced, though - with individual members versions - and Sungmin is included so fair fucks to Suju for holding their nerve. Honestly, he'll start his service early in the New Year so if they're that put out by him, they won't have to look at him for much longer anyway.

You know, when Kangin did his drunk driving accident, no one wanted him to leave the group. What he did made worse impact than this. Leeteuk had even said how disappointed they were in Kangin, because it was his 2nd scandal, in a row. But no one wanted to kick him out. There was disappointment but they stuck with him.

Now, Sungmin wants to get married and have a normal life and they want to kick him out of the group? Sure, this signature thing is probably stupid, but does it give enough reason to kick him from the group? All the other reasons K-ELF make are just excuses to blame everything on Sungmin, when the worse damages that have been happening to the fandom and the group are from majorit of K-ELF. lulz isn't the whole point of idol built around a boyfriend fantasy? like it's cool that we just happen to love our idol for their shitty music but that's not the case for most of the fans, they like their idols as a whole person and the fantasy he or she provides, and believe that even though logically it's impossible that s/he as an individual fan will never get close to the person, they share a special bond as a fan and as the idol.
and it's up to the third person to decide if that's just stupid or not but idols clearly know what they're in it for and breaking that bond is gonna warrant a storm.
(and yes it is the man's personal life and he shouldn't sacrifice his personal life for his fans but there's a difference between dating someone quietly versus announcing it to the world by bragging it on radio or signing your autograph with her nickname)
