Lee Byung Hun’s Blackmailer Claims New Details About Relationship at First Trial

Model A, who threatened Lee Byung Hun, has gathered attention by making another claim.

On October 16, Seoul Central District Court’s exclusive detective 9 (Judge Jung Eun Young) carried out the first trial for Glam’s Da Hee and model A, who have been arrested and charged for making a joint threat.

Model A claimed, “It’s true I demanded 5 billion won (from Lee Byung Hun) but Lee Byung Hun was the one who got my contact number first and wanted to meet,” adding, “He told me he would find housing for me and even demanded that we have deep skinship when we were dating. We even had a quarrel in the process.”

About this, Da Hee said, “I committed the crime thinking that my close unnie had been fooled by Lee Byung Hun. I also thought I could make money with the video. I didn’t think that it was illegal to do so.” Both model A and Da Hee showed tears at court.

The justice department will be carrying out a closed interrogation regarding Lee Byung Hun on November 11 at 2 p.m. (KST). The accused have requested Lee Byung Hun and the person who introduced model A to Lee Byung Hun as the witnesses. As he has never spoke up about the incident in public, the attention has been gathering on what Lee Byung and the witness will say.

Lee Byung Hun, who is the victim and the accuser, has been selected as a witness, and the authorities have requested that C, who introduced Lee Byung Hun to model A, attend as another witness. Witness interrogations will be carried out in private.

Seoul Central District Court previously arrested and charged Glam’s Da Hee and model A for jointly threatening Lee Byung Hun with a video showing Lee Byung Hun making inappropriate comments.

According to the investigation, the two women planned out the crime when Lee Byung Hun denied to provide financial support when model A was planning to ask Lee Byung Hun for allowance and housing for dating him. But when Lee Byung Hun refused, they allegedly tried to threaten him with a video.

BH Entertainment, Lee Byung Hun’s agency, told Newsen on October 16, “What the blackmailers said during trial today is a one-sided claim,” adding, “The things they said cannot be directly proven. We can’t help but to think that they said those things in order to mitigate their punishment.”

The agency rep continued, “It could even be considered a type of defamation. Nothing has changed on our end. Lee Byung Hun is the undeniable victim. It is unfortunate that the focus is being shifted in the wrong direction and the essence of this incident is being forgotten.”

Well, if I was a fame-hungry, shady young girl like her who had gotten in this situation, and had heard possible sentences like "life imprisonment" floated about for blackmailing a powerful, well-connected guy like Lee Byun-hun, I'd be bullshitting too if my lawyers told me it could potentially work in getting me a less severe punishment.

I know it's hard putting yourself in their shoes, because everyone involved here is sleazy, but try. Those girls know they're screwed.

I feel for her because of the circumstances which pushed her to this and I'm fully in agreement that the sentences being tossed around are ridiculous but that's where my sympathies end.They committed a crime, trying to deny it isn't going to win them any point either with the court or the general public.
I go by the legal principle used in English law:Lack of knowledge of a crime does not absolve you of blame.

the cynic in me says as soon as he comes out with another movie with brilliant acting there will be people all over him but the general public is still gonna throw him shade.

I can buy that he promised her a house and gifts for "deep skinship" - that's usually what rich men do for their mistresses. But I don't buy that DaHee didn't realize it was illegal to secretly tape someone and then use it to threaten them into giving you money. Like...nah sis. Can't say I blame her for it though. I hope they don't get heavy sentences. LBR they weren't doing this bc he's scummy and deserves it, they were doing it to benefit themselves. Everyone involved (except his poor wife) was selfish.
