how to save a ldr from seemingly inevitable doom?????
also can we talk about why all the members leaving idol groups are always the ones not born in korea/not korean? i'm thinking jess and kris but also yookyung and the thai girl from rania (i think) and ofc jay park
i did have my interview last week though at a medical school, they were very nice. i just have to wait two months before i hear back... on the way back was crazy gah did you guys hear about the fire in chicago? my return flight had a connection there and boom flight is canceled. it was so awkward asking for my student host to pick me up again from the airport and let me stay another night because all the hotels were BOOKED.
did anybody watch the new ABC show selfie? i really want to watch since john cho is like the greatest man on earth and like this is probably the first and last time we're gonna get an asian guy as a rom com lead but i couldnt get through the first three minutes of the pilot because of second hand embarrassment... ughhhhhhhhh
I watched it but it's mediocre at best. I'll give it some more episodes because John Cho's awesome and I like him in the show too, but we'll see... doesn't look promising :(
So my job is going pretty well! I like it enough to keep showing up for work. I do plan on applying to a few other places however. I can work the register just fine but my anxiety does act up a little bit orz.
I'm still really sad about everything that went down between Sica/SNSD/SM. I actually have been on break from tumblr because all the posts from both sides became way too much. I've also had to stay away from FB. I hate the way SM handled everything (and anything tbh) but i'm nhf people using it to talk about how JYPE and YGE are soooo much better. They're not.
I'm gonna spend the rest of my night typing :> I haven't had much time to unwind since the beginning of this week and i'm gonna use up all of my time off to destress.
finally have time to watch orphan black n whoa, i heard it was good but thought it was just hype but it really is good lol 👍 i just started season 2 !
also, i'm really glad the weekend is finally here. i need a break from school n just life in general. i wanted to go shopping but i haven't been eating that well this week n i feel like i should just treat myself to some good food. ☺
freaking out bc I'm in a process of getting hired after spending so much time but I'm scared that I might not get it anymore. the company keeps sending short notice deadline emails and I do feel that it's unfair and it's their way of telling me that they can drop me anytime lol.
ugh I feel like I should have been applying to more places so difficult to get a job relevant to my interest. :((
if they do drop you for that reason it's probably not an environment you'd wanna get into anyway. that said, I've been on your end of things, so I hope everything goes well and your employment goes through :)
I'm just about to begin emerging from my lair of sorrow after the elimination on the great british bake off this week I never thought i'd be this involved in such a whimsical cookery show lol In other news I'm jobhunting for the first time (I'm UK-based) and I guess some good vibes/friendly advice would be good? Even about things to mention on your CV, haha. I've got a lot of stuff on it but I've never worked a steady job (music student so all my jobs have been random accompanying/band/rehearsal gigs that are basically cash in hand) so I feel really blind going into this.
Well my week kind of sucked. I laid off from my job on Tuesday so I have to go through the whole interview grind again. On the brightside I didn't like my job anyway so maybe this is a blessing in disguise?
I'm really worried that every job I have is going to be like this though cause I worked at one place for 2 years, got laid off, and I worked at the last place for a year and got laid off :(. Bunches of other people are always laid off at the same time so I know it's not ME, but ugh what if the job market is like that?
Ugh I got fired last week and now I'm applying everywhere. Hopefully someone calls me this week. My little sisters' birthday was yesterday which means Tamales on Sunday!!!!!! Yassssss
my mom felt the guilt of being a neglecting parent when i was growing up and she bought me private medical insurance. since 1st i've been to like four or more doctors. it's kinda nice of her but a bit too late i think? it won't fix the fact i never allowed my body to feel sick because then i would be a bother to my parents and siblings.
anyways i'm starting my job at cake shop on monday... i'm stressed :/ i had my name day yesterday and i'm going to make some truffles to give away at work. idk how about other countries, but here whenever it's your bday etc you bring some sweets for school/work. my boss doesn't know i can make the best truffles in town and i hope he won't fire me :p my bday is on 18th anyway so if i'm still working there i would probably bake a brownie as a bday cake and bring a piece for everyone. i'm a nice person in october
Who's playing SSB 3DS? I just played my first online match! School is surprisingly not killing me. Besides recovering from illness, that leave really helped me learn to manage my life properly.
it was my birthday on wednesday, but i didn't really do much since it's the middle of the week. my friend couldn't meet up that day so we went for korean food yesterday since i've been aching to try bibimbap for a while. it wasn't bad but somehow i thought it would be more...flavourful?
still no luck on the job front and so i applied for jsa. one of the advisers/coaches looked at my cv and was like "this is really good. how do you not have a job yet?" i d k dude, you tell me >:|
I have 10 hours to remember all of the French I learned in high school and college. Tonight I'm going to a French-Korean language exchange in Hongdae with a friend. I'll probably end up listening more than talking. Ugh. I learned tenses once, how did they go???
