I'm more addicted to the internet rather than my phone, but I feel a little uneasy if I don't have my phone just for the fact that what if there is an emergency. Either way, I need to control my addiction to both.
The scary Takuya bits were funny. Julian's Parents!!!!! Oh my gosh they were so cute!
I'm sad Tyler is out for the next episode, I'll miss his information he gives, but i'm super curious about the American that will replace him for the episode. I miss seeing the old people leave for a bit, but It's always fun to see who replaces them for the episode.
ROFL! america is so full of diverse ppl and yet these r the dudes that get pulled to "represent" us every time.
they really need some other non-eurocentric permanent fixture on the show. sam was so happy to see another african and i'm inclined to agree. someone from south america would be nice too. or another asian country that doesn't get that much shine like thailand or something.
I'm hoping for a more diverse cast too. They monitor tweets and comments about the show so at least we know, there's a good chance they know about our concern.
A South American would be nice. I was surprised to learn there's a quite a number of South Americans and Central Americans studying in Korea, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find one.
I watched all the episodes yesterday! I really love this show.
I looked up some of the members afterwards and I ended up reading up a lot on James. They really downplayed, or he did, the whole adventurer thing. When they started talking about him wanting to climb again and how it was dangerous and he might die, it must have hit home hard. He went to climb Mont Blanc with 3 of his childhood friends and 2 of them died, including the one with whom he climbed Everest and did the pole to pole thing. Because of that he got 90,000 in debts. There were talks of book deals and movie deals though in the end it fell through. Anyway I was surprised at how many articles I could find about him.
I really liked Newlberto.
More than the smartphone it's the internet I'm addicted to. Or more like specific web sites or reading, watching dramas, series, variety shows... via the internet.

I marathoned this show last weekend. Waiting all week for this ep was like torture.
I'm a smartphone addict. I get withdrawal symptoms when my phone dies on the go or if I leave it at home. I remember going to my volunteer job one evening for a short shift and realizing the I left my phone at home. I had 5 mins before my shift started and decided to hop in a cab to grab my phone. The shift was only 4 hours long but I still spent like $20 on a cab just so I could have my phone for those 4 hours.
I love when they talk about sports. Everyone gets all intense but they're still funny.
I love Zhang Yuan's face. He's just so cute, even though his personality is not my style.

Also I'm wondering if there's going to be any cast members officially leaving and not just for one episode. Like Aus. Daniel for example. He doesn't really want to go down the variety path, right? & he isn't shown that much anymore compared to the first few episodes. He's one of my favs but I wouldn't be surprised if he peaced out.
I dont see daniel leaving anytime soon. He doesn't go on shows but he has modelling and fashion gigs. Probably won't pursue being a tv show fixture like enes/sam/julian/etc but the show will help him book those modelling gigs, party invites. I think he designs stuff too. He ha sthe tattoo job so he's probably only doing to show for fun on the side. Extra income doesnt hurt. A little fame to boost his name value for the job he already has. And unlike idols, actors, actresses, these guys still have their freedom and lives outside of the show.
This ep was good as usual, I especially love the first part where they didn't forget any country. Also it's true, for some Japanese poeple, especially men (esp older men), it can really get scary when they use silence a lot to communicate lol. Imo.
I think I would love to be able to live 1 week without the internet. Also really Robin should have told them that in France, when you go to a café to meet friends it's so different from SK, there is no way poeple would spend 5 minutes talking and 30 minutes looking at their phones. To me it is extremely rude.

JO KWON! i'm addicted to the internet and to smart phones and idec, lol. i think i talk to ppl MORE because it's easier for me to reach them via text, phone call, or social media. i dont buy the whole "we talk less as a generation" thing because ppl communicated differently NOW because they CAN. we'll adjust to it just like we adjusted when cellphones were first invented and texting became a thing and social media exploded. it'll just become integrated as another form of communication---i dunno why ppl r so stressed about this. i agree with sam and the dude from canada that in a way that form of technology is essentially an important part of a job. i dont think the same can be said for someone who say locks themselves in their basements and play video games all day.
when i get around my friends we do have a no phones rule, lol. i mean, we never have to enforce it because when we get together we talk a lot and if we pick up our phones it IS to take pictures but i think it's rude to have ur phone out when u go out to restaurants and stuff. i usually keep mine in my bag since i'm afraid of stuff spilling on it.
lol yuan what r u doing for 30 min on ur phone before showering?! i adore his face, his attitude is so much like my chinese coworker. china is first at everything always, lol. but i guess everyone is like that for their own country.

EVERY GENERATION has that one thing that's "too much" and sends the world in to a tizzy. before it was too much music leads to lack of communication, too much tv, too much video games, etc etc etc. ultimately the issue isnt whether ppl should have access to certain forms of technology it's how they USE it/how they're taught to use it that matters MORE.
ahhhhhh yuan! i feel u! being called a racial slur takes one second but it's on ur mind all daaaaaay! i feel u! negative comments like racial slurs, sexual harassment, death threats,etc r EXTREMELY hard to ignore. those arent "ppl's negative opinions" they r acts of violence that can threaten someone's life. freedom of speech does not guarantee freedom from criticism. it IS possible to have a wrong opinion due to lack of education, i think a line should be drawn somewhere. no doubt jo kwon is talking about the ppl who harassed him when he was doing that theater play. i feel bad for him...

Ahhh literally just finished watching. Loved this episode! Jo Kwon was a great guest. I'm pretty much on the same boat as him, I'm not really sure if I can function without my phone anymore lmaoo...I've gotten to the point I was once 25 min away from home but then I realized I forgot my phone so I returned all the way home to get it back lol ;;;; The area where I live has pretty much the fastest internet in the U.S. so if I lived anywhere else, I did know how I would deal...lol
Takuya had me cracking up since the beginning lmaoo. I'm glad he has a voice now, I feel proud ^^ He should try and get one of his members on as a Korean representative (maybe Shin??). He should try to milk that show as much as he can tbh LOL.
