i got a job this week and i'm super happy about it ^^ i'll be working for a cake shop and i'm pretty excited. i'm going to be basically a waitress with extra resposibilities like taking orders for custom cakes. they do some crazy stuff... i'm pretty nervous about it though. they told me i'm too quiet for this lol

rn i'm at my bff's house for a weekend and i will try to enjoy myself a little. i made my signature brownie for her, she had her bday recently :)

I'm in serious debate mode over staying in Korea for another year. If I stay at my school I'll probably end up as head foreign teacher which has a lot of responsibilities, but there's a pay raise and I might be able to negotiate my way out of teaching the youngest levels which I've been having a hard time teaching.

Does anyone know of websites that sell extra concert tickets. I wasn't able to get B1A4 or BTS tickets for their Seoul concerts. :(

Started uni again after a (wasted) year off. Now I just have to force myself to make friends again, join some clubs, hand-in my resume/cv to a (really) great internship and not fail any classes (nor lose my super awesome pt job).

so when I went to my doctor's this week my doctor gave me a really good deal for laser hair removal! For 4 sessions I can get my entire face done for $800 in total and i'm really tempted to do it but i heard that a lot of people break out from laser hair removal so i'm a bit hesitant (idk if it depends on how acne prone you are but maybe i should just go for it)

I'VE SUBMITTED MY NURSING APPLICATION!!!!!!
Tons of driving around to get the papers, 5 transcripts, lots of money spent, many phone calls and emails, summer classes to boost up my score, long hours of studying for the entrance test. Hope it all pays off in the end.

Ahh this is always the sad time of the season...when all my anime end. I'm sad especially to see Free! end.

For some reason, I've been getting back into Final Fantasy. I have 8 on Steam, and I've been watching video and reading up on lore. Mainly interested in Squall and Cloud. Squall was my first FF protagonist, so I think I get this love for the emotional, angsty, slightly assholey, kind of characters cuz of him. Or maybe that's just a lot of people. He reminds me so much of an old friend though, it's almost uncanny.

Going to go in on Monday and get a mole checked. I've had it for months, but it's always good to check up and make sure it isn't something serious.

i renewed my library card so i'm in a reading mood. i have abandoned AFFC by grrm for a short period. i'm almost done with this is how you lose her by junot diaz and i'm about to get into inherent vice by thomas pynchon. any reccs? i think i might read house of leaves, i heard it was scary. eventually i want to try russian lit too lawl but for now i need quick reads, both fiction and nonfiction, any genre except YA (to give you an idea: i've been really into works by junot diaz and sherman alexie)

on a side note, after buying myself some courage to decide that I do want to do a one-year exchange in Japan (I major in Modern Languages and Japanese is one of them), I've realized that due to my grades I have little to no chance of getting it! Yay! jfc I am so so so pissed, and it's all at myself. kids, if you're staring uni now: do not do this shit to yourselves :(

I haven't been in a good mood for this past several days. I get close with someone i met at a gym. He's 4 years younger than me so at first i didn't really bother about it. But he keeps contacted me everyday for 3 weeks.so i thought okay i'll give him a chance. We had our first date and it went so well. I became to like him a lot. He sent a sweet message after the date. But 2 days later he just dissapeared! Now i don't know what to do about it. Just when i thought i finally get a nice man. Pfff what a joke.

Anyone keeping up with the HK protests? 100+ students entered a government building a while ago. A bunch are surrounded by police in the forecourt, but there are a ton outside.
