The Idle Mermaid will be ending earlier than originally planned.
An affiliate of tvN’s drama The Idle Mermaid told Newsen on September 26, “It was originally planned to air 14 episodes but we’ve shortened it to 10 episodes. We’ve compressed it to make the story more interesting. Editing has become more dynamic.”
Airing the last episode on October 9, The Idle Mermaid is a romantic fantasy drama about a mermaid named Aylee (Jo Bo Ah), who comes to Seoul in search of love. It was tvN SNL Korea’s Baek Seung Ryong PD’s first drama starring Jo Bo Ah, On Ju Wan, Song Jae Lim, Kim Seul Gi, Kim Min Gyo and more.
Having aired every Thursday afternoon on tvN, The Idle Mermaid will wrap up with ten episodes.

I still haven't seen ep8, but after seeing previous 7eps THERE'S NO WAY TO END IT THAT QUICKLY WITHOUT MAKING A FUCKING MESS. AND RUINING EVERYTHING. And it was going so fucking well.
I can't believe I used 'fucking' so many times in one paragraph, but THIS IS FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS and my heart is broken.
