iKON to Open for BIGBANG’s Japan Dome Tour

YG Entertainment‘s upcoming boy group iKON will be opening for BIGBANG‘s Japanese dome tour series, “BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2014.”

After the completion of the currently airing reality show “Mix & Match,” the final seven members of iKON will be performing as opening acts for their seniors, BIGBANG.

BIGBANG’s Japanese Tour will take place between November 15 to December 27, visiting Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, and Tokyo, for a total of 11 shows.

Last year, the finally chosen members of WINNER opened for BIGBANG’s Japanese dome tour.

In the latest episode of “Mix & Match” a new trainee Yang Hong Suk will be joining the eight trainees already competing to be part of iKON.

“Mix & Match” airs on Mnet every Thursday.

To be aired on the 25th at 11pm KST, the 3rd episode of MIX & MATCH will be filled with scenes of Yang Hong Suk, the latest member and newest trainee to have entered the dorm and joined the existing members.

In the last week’s monthly evaluation, Jung Chanwoo and Jun Jinhyeong who have recently joined the team already showed their skills. Fans are anticipating the latest addition, Yang Hong Suk’s skills.

In this week’s preview of episode 3, Yang Hong Suk stated, “I’m trying not to lose in a war of nerves”. After his performance, he asked,”Was it good?” with a diginified appearance, to which B.I responded,”I don’t like it”. It provoked curiosity whether B.I and Yang Hong suk will have a conflict.

It is expected to have the first free match on this episode to adress the elimination of members from the 9 trainees. The first free match will be a preparatory test so even though a member will be selected for elimination, they won’t actually get eliminated.

This free match will be divided into “Team Bobby”, “Team B.I” and “Team Jinhwan” with 3 members each per team. Members will prepared for this performance for a month and will be assessed by Yang Hyun Suk including YG’s composers.

I feel so horrible for Hanbin; not only has he already been eliminated from at least two reality shows but now he has to deal with the team b members potentially being axed from the group (which I imagine he probably feels some degree of responsibility for since he's the leader.)

Plus how YG said M&M was partially to "test BI's leadership skills" and how miserable/stressed out he always looks on the show... it's just a really fucked up situation all around.

What a setup re: Hanbin's "disappearance". YG's always used how hardworking he is as leverage against other members/Winner. I still remember that episode when he did Winner's track evaluation on Winner TV and was like, "I saw B.I sleeping on the studio sofa at 3pm because he was up all night working, what have YOU been doing?" This seems like another mind game to make the others nervous just like that. :/

Yes...and it's very cruel...especially since YG dropped the show on them after they got back from their first performances

They were probably being recorded ever since WIN so didn't think anything about getting recorded on that trip for the concert

I wonder how they will do this considering the new labour laws for underage performers (Lee Hi for instance hasn't been able to attend foreign YG Family tour dates after the law came into effect)?

Man...MNet and their trolling commercials

1) Hongseok came on super awkward (second oldest and said that he's a fast 94 so he and Jinhwan should be friends and Jinhwan was like WTF) and Hanbin rated his singing worse than Chanwoo and Jinhyeong but his style matches theirs better

2) Hongseok doesn't like hip hop...LOL OMG he is on the wrong team

3) The dancing of the new three...basically Hongseok is TERRIBLE. Hanbin choreographed a part to showcase them but NONE of them were practicing hard and Hongseok went as far to ignore Hanbin's direction to stay and practice so he got called out in the group practice along with Chanwoo and Jinhyeong

4) Hanbin said they have to work harder than him and OT6 because they are new and have to show their hard work and willingness to improve...recall the work ethic of BI and Team B being there all times of night practicing. THERE ARE NO WEEKENDS. He said if they felt he was being unfair then prove him wrong but in the interview Hongseok said he wish he could feel that Hanbin was unfair but he was right and that he'll work hard from now on

4) Hanbin just went for a walk with his camera crew and bought ice cream...the walking out thing was totally a troll thing

5) Jinhwan went to SMTM3 for the Be I and Go stages...Be I was so fabulous with B Rabbit Life

6) Bobby's team picked Rolling in the Deep...AND DONGHYUK SLAYED YOUR LIFE...and he was Jinhyeong vocal coach and he did really well this time too

7) During the vocal team practice (Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, Hongseok) Hongseok starting choking with voice cracks so Hanbin immediately started giving direction and advice to improve (BI's a vocal coach too....)

We'll see the other two performances and dance performance next week

I had a feeling Hongseok might be a sucky dancer... damn it!
He is such a cutie, but I can't see him as a good fit for the group. :(

I was gonna get mad about them choosing Rolling in the Deep but Donghyuk did well! I really enjoyed it. (but idk if it's cuz both him and Jinhwan are not in the same song lol). And Jinhyeong's voice is attractive. I could really see him staying.

Eh, but I thought newer members of Team B weren't into hiphop either. Wasn't there something about them not having a hip hop feel in WinTV? So that's a moot point to me.

And I liked Jinhyeong better in Rolling in the Deep. Donghyuk did no slaying for me, though I did think he did okay.

What I don't understand is why BI has to do everything? Why isn't Jinhwan in charge of dance/choreography? He's a pretty good dancer.

Unlike with Big Bang and Winner, it seems like BI is doing most of the groupwork here. Maybe because the other members aren't official yet, but I hope to see at least Bobby and Jinhwan gain some leadership skills from being in charge of their teams.

Jinhyeong was completely unstable his second verse and Donghyuk carried the choruses but okay

BI and Jinhwan have skills in production and fulfill separate leadership roles so I imagine that is YG's intent with the split teams as well

To correct myself, because I just saw someone else's translation, BI said Hongseok sings better than Chanwoo and Jinhyeong but their style matches Team B better

Also...Hongseok has been a trainee for....TWO WEEKS...

YG IS A TROLL
