CNBLUE's Yong Hwa is releasing a solo album

FNC Entertainment (the company also behind FT Island and AOA) have announced plans for CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa to go solo!

FNC’s CEO Han Sung Ho posted on their official website, “As CNBLUE’s ‘Can’t Stop‘ promotions comes to an end, I want to make an announcement here. We are in the middle of preparing a variety of projects for Jung Yong Hwa’s self-produced solo album that is set to be released later this year.”

CNBLUE wrap up "Can't Stop" promotions this week - even though it feels like the song just came out! The band have their last concerts in Seoul on April 19 and April 20, Busan on April 26 and Daegu on May 24.

The news of his solo re-surfaced after the fan meeting in Japan where he mentioned it =) . I think it was said to come out early 2015?
(I think there's some fresh new articles but it's true they don't say much more than the March ones)

Anyway, I hope some of my wishlist collabs happen: IU, Kim Ye Rim, Dok 2, Simon D, Kim Chang Wan...

anyone that follows him knows he listens to a lot of different genres, so I don't understand the "what's the point when he's already the lead singer?" type of comments. it obviously won't be like cnblue stuff. plus he already said there will be a lot of collabs on the album so he's probably going to bring in his buddies like iu, simon d, zion.T etc.

There's all his hip hop, reggae, EDM inclinations that would translate really nicely into solo/collaboration material.
(ok, maybe the EDM came up in CNB's 'Wave', but still).

mtee. plus he's so dynamic onstage and could totally pull off being a soloist. even if I wasn't a stan, I'd still think he's a great performer, he's super underrated in that aspect tbh. I'm excited that he's getting to do something that he wants (I much prefer him to stick to music than acting tbh)

A friend went to see CNB in concert a couple of times and she said that she barely noticed the other three because Yonghwa was one hell of a performer.

I went to CNB concert in London with 2 friends: one is Jonghyun biased, the other Jungshin biased. At the end of the concert, they both told me "I only saw Yonghwa, I forgot to look at my bias!!" ahahah.
Not saying JH and JS are bad performers, they are both great and talented. But Yonghwa just turns into a beast on stage.
Even the security guy that was next to me told us "that guy is good" lol
