Kwanghee weighs in on the ZE:A/Star Empire debacle

"Hello, this is ZE:A's Kwanghee. Late last Sunday night, all of the ZE:A members and company had a long talk, and at the end, the direction of the talk went well. All of the members talked together and as we gradually came to a solution, our hearts were relieved. However, because there now seem to be a lot of misunderstandings about our leader Junyoung, my heart is not ease. People are saying that Junyoung did all of this in order to receive money. That is absolutely false. We are all together in this and Junyoung did not receive any money. Junyoung, who is so committed to this group, our members, and our company will all endeavor to deliver good news in the future. To all of the people who we caused to be worried and anxious, I apologize."

I'm glad that Kwanghee speak up for Junyoung.

Total respect to Junyoung for braving the odds and willing to fighting for his and his boys' welfare and betterment publicly. That really took up a lot of courage.

I mean, even if he did it for money, so fucking what? They were being paid close to nothing, anyone in their posistion would demand more money if they had the chance. Why are they making them look like greedy assholes?

Excuse my french, I just can't at people who are making them seem like they were already rich and demanding even more. This is their career and they have to make a living out of almost nothing.

I stand by my assumption that a lot of people were interested in this solely for the potential drama. And now that they got nothing out of it, Junyoung is suddenly a selfish coward who was doing this solely for monetary gain. He had no income for 2 years, he had every right to demand payment but people are essentially telling him that he chose this lifestyle and has to deal with the downsides that come with it. I honestly can't deal with the stupidity of some people.

I agree, people just wanted drama and for blood to run so to speak. Since they couldn't get SE's, they're now after Junyoung's.

I'd like to see these keyboard warriors live off of on what is probably less than an allowance; see if they'd still be calling him selfish, greedy or that he should accept it since it's the career he chose.

Even if he DID do it for money, he was splitting 30% of what they were making into nine pieces. Not to mention he was hurt and was somehow punished because he wasn't getting paid. Two years? How did he live? Why are people acting like he was living rich and whatnot to be asking for money? Why would it even be wrong to ask for money that you weren't getting in the first place?

In any case, it's nice that Kwanghee defended his leader, and that they're together on everything. I truly hope things work out for them. No group or person deserves that kind of treatment.

It's sad because you see a lot of MC Kwanghee, Actor Siwan, Hyungsik in both variety and drama and you would think they earn a lot by now only to find out that they get a smidgen for their effort. Somebody needs to see to their next job contract that they would get a reasonable portion and not have it all go to their company smh.

it's nice of kwanghee to stick up for his member, but i don't understand why people would think that he did this for money. granted...he did do this for money, but it's for the money that he / they earned rightfully, but weren't given. he stood up not only for himself, but for his group mates as well. he took a chance. a risky one at that, by making it public. i seriously think he did that at a last resort. he could have lost his job, had public backlash....netizens can be fickle as fudge. one day they like you - the next it's over. that's why in one of the previous updates where he was saying something to the fact of "if you had my back then, i hope you will have my back in the future".

anyways, i still think what he did was a great job. and it was super sweet of kwanghee to help set the record straight. it's a shame that they have to go through all of this.
