Q: Impression when you first met the members
My impression to JB is that he was really cool and tough. Bambam was cute. Jackson was curious about a lot of things so he kept on asking, I thought “Why is this person has a lot of questions?” lol (Jackson: Even though he said that, I’m happy. Because I am now the topic! lol)
Q: It was your first time to be a trainee of martial arts tricking, but before that what sports have you done?
I did a little bit of basketball and soccer with my friends at school. I also did diving into pools and tried to spin off the diving board. Now, it’s not difficult to do spins on stage but because I also need to sing at the same time, it’s hard.

Q: Your good luck charm
A: It’s not a good luck charm but I always carry a recorder with me. I compose music so if I come up with any ideas or melodies, I could record it anytime
Q: As a leader, what do you keep in mind?
A: First of all, I have to be a good example. Always beat anxiety. I also think my role is to correct them when someone is heading in the wrong direction.
Q: For JB whose dream is also to become a movie director, what kind of movie do you want to do with the members?
A: If we’re going to do one, I want it to be a movie with dance scenes at a school.

Q: Your good luck charm
A: A necklace that I received from my parents when I was young. We have this tradition/custom in China where we could take it off once we reached this certain age. That’s why I’m not already wearing it now. Now I’ve grown up, I feel uneasy when I don’t wear anything in my hands. That’s why I make sure I try to wear at least a ring.
Q: Since the group has members from different countries, what cultural differences surprised you?
A: The way of greeting. When I first met JB hyung, I brightly greet him with “Hey!!!” but I got surprised because he greeted me back seriously. lol In Hongkong, we don’t say “Let’s eat!” before eating and we also just say “Bye” when going home. I was also surprised with being called “hyung” by younger guys. But Mark and I are both foreigners, so I don’t know what should I do in that case. (Mark: Either one is fine with me lol)

A: More than a good luck charm, I have this thing that I always carry with me. It’s a pocket notebook. It’s written there the things I’ve learned and the things I like. For example, when studying about acting/performance, I jot down notes. Even during the days that I don’t need it, I always put it inside my bag because it makes me feel uneasy if I don’t have it.
Q: They said you are GOT7’s mother. If GOT7 is a family, which family member would they be?

Q: Your good luck charm
A: the green bracelet I always wear. This bracelet is filled with wishes like “I hope your singing will get better. I hope things will go well”. I never take it off even if I take a bath and no matter what I do, I still wear it and go to sleep like that. It’s been a year since I started wearing it. One time it got broken but I just tied it back and wear it again.
Q: What do you keep in your mind in order to show your individuality as the vocal of the group?
A: Not trying to look good? Through that, I think I can let everyone hear my voice the way as it is. I think I still haven’t shown to everyone all of my singing voice. If ever I have a chance, I would like to try singing sad songs too. I like singing those kind of songs and I want to let everyone see that I have that kind of side too.

A: I bring a small good luck charm with me. It’s a charm that my grandmother used to have but after she passed away, my mother took it then gave it to me. When I have it with me, I feel like anything I do will go well.
Q: You did a cover of Rain’s 「Rainism」on a Korean program.
How do you feel since you used to dance too in Thai programs before?
What was the reaction of your mother who is a big fan of Rain?
A: When I remember it, I get overwhelm with emotions. The reactions from fans were good too. I’m happy because comparing it to my old image, I realized I’ve grown so much. I think my mother is happy too.

A: hmmm.. It’s not a good luck charm but ever since the debut, I changed my mindset/attitude. During trainee days, when I have to stand in front of the camera during stage presentations, I’m so embarrassed that my face turns red. But now, before going to the stage, I try to be confident and think that I’m the best.
Q: In “REAL GOT7”, they did a hidden camera prank on you….
A: Because of that, everyone thinks I’m a crybaby. But I’m not! Even watching sad movies, I rarely cry. I even think I’m brave. If ever I’m going to do a prank, I’m going to do extreme pranks to each member. For example, I’m going to say he failed the college exam even though he really passed it. (Youngjae: Are you going to do that to me? lol) HAHAHAHA! It’s just an example~
