The cast members of Liar Game gathered for the first script reading.

The script reading for tvN’s upcoming drama Liar Game took place on September 16 in Sangam CJ E&M center.

During the script reading, lead actor Lee Sang Yoon, who will be acting as ‘Ha Woo Jin,’ the genius con artist and a former professor in psychology brought out admiration from writer Ryu Yong Jae by catching a mistake in the game explained in the scripts.

Revealing himself a huge fan of the original comic book series, Lee Sang Yoon expressed his love for the drama, increasing expectation for him to well portray the charms of his character.

The script reading was attended by the main cast members, including Lee Sang Yoon, Kim So Eun, Shin Sung Rok, Jo Jae Yoon and Cha Soo Yeon, as well as the staff members. Prior to the script reading, writer Ryu Yong Jae emphasized the importance of the characters, encouraging the cast members to change the characters’ lines or expressions in order to better express the characters.

Kim So Eun will be acting as an innocent and friendly college student ‘Nam Da Jung,’ while Shin Sung Rok will be acting as ‘Kang Do Young,’ the mysterious producer and MC of the ‘Liar Game.’

After the script reading, the three lead cast members took a group picture together, holding the signed scripts .

Lee Hye Young PD stated, “I wanted to show the value of truth and trust through the story of the protagonists who fight against numerous lies of the world. You will be able to meet a drama that you have never seen before. I felt pressured in regards to its genre but my expectation for it is greater.”

Liar Game is set to air on September 20, following My Secret Hotel.
