I love this and their harmonies but I give it ★★★★☆ because I miss Boa's near-perfect pronunciation...

they covered this before on YHY's Sketchbook, one of my fave Spica covers. I think Jiwon, Narae and Juhyun did a good job covering Boa's parts.. Juhyun's really making up for all the times she's been deprived of singing lines :)

I love ALL of SPICA's covers, in a lot of cases more than their own songs. And that only proves that SPICA needs better songs that take advantage of their vocal talent. I wish they would let the girls(even if it's just Boa and Bohyung) write their own song for one comeback.

The Lost Stars cover was perfection but the Blue Rain cover seemed a wee little bit lacking compared to the Sketchbook one with Boa. I don't think it was because Boa wasn't in it, I just think Jiwon started off a little weak(her breathing points were too frequent and in bad places) but that portion does suite her singing, and the new arrangement actually removed some group parts where they harmonize. But I am glad they took out the rap portion, they should always leave that out and give Juhyun more singing parts.

I thought Bohyung did one of her best performances on Lee Sora's Music Plaza. Last week she seemed to struggle a bit but this week she seemed back on it. I look forward to seeing her performance every Monday so much. If there were subbed version of that show I'd watch the whole thing.

Even though I'm not crazy about Give Your Love, I am glad they did the SPICA/S subunit thing. I still think the timing was wrong but overall this was a good experience for the 4 members to stand on their own for a bit and get a little more of the spotlight. I think Narae has stepped up the most as far as vocally and it is good that Bohyung isn't hiding in the back and is actually speaking up more. I honestly thought they were grooming Jiwon to take the leader position in Boa's absence, at least it looked that way during KCON, but it seems like they just sorta all managed themselves.

I always look forward to their group covers because I know there'll be plenty of eargasmic harmonies.. I love all of their official discography, but there's something super special about Blue Rain, Break Away and It's Raining Men, I'll never get tired of watching those videos. yeah, I really wish B2M would stop resorting to ready-made songs for them to promote, even though I can't say I don't like those songs. EXID's LE gets creative input in EXID's title tracks and it gives them that extra credibility to stand out in the industry.. why isn't B2M tapping into 2Bo's composing/producing talents? sigh.

I can't get enough of Lost Stars despite the less than perfect pronunciation ("I'll be danked Cupi's demanding back its arrow" lol Narae u tried ♥).. they did really well considering they didn't have much time to practise and they looked so worn out (Jiwon's eyes were practically closed... and her pronunciation was spot on). if Boa was in it, Juhyun and Narae would've gotten way fewer lines.. /conflicted feelings

lol Jiwon was zoning out as usual and nearly forgot that she was supposed to start Blue Rain, I think that's why the start was shaky. I was hoping for Juhyun to start it off, but overall I think Jiwon did a pretty good job! so glad they took out the rap too. I think although Juhyun misses their leader, she must also be having the best promo cycle of her career so far.. she's finally getting decent singing lines and I'm really happy for her :D

maybe it's just me not liking ballads that much.. I love hearing Bbo's voice on more chillout type of songs like Seoul Woman, Is Anybody There and Just A Feeling, not so much pure ballads. I prefer the lighter side of her voice (like the falsetto in Lost Stars, that gave me chills) compared to her deeper, belt-y voice. bless whoever got her this regular DJ gig, it really suits her and we get a new cover every Monday, what could be better?

I am SO happy that Narae and Juhyun are getting to show off their vocals a lot more with Spica.S.. Narae got upgraded to main vocal and it's glorious ;-; at first I thought Juhyun was the temporary leader since she took over Boa's "dul set!" introduction but I guess that's just age priority lol.
