ZE:A’s Lee Hoo (Junyoung) has tweeted yet another set of 6 messages in the latest developments on this story.
The story originally began when ZE:A’s Lee Hoo was spotted tweeting a torrent of messages, all against his company and CEO. He continued to tweet, pleading with media to report his story.
Then, suddenly Lee Hoo revealed that he had come to an agreement with their CEO and had won. Netizens continued to leave confused comments, as the situation seemed extremely serious just moments before.
Check out his latest tweets translated by Koreaboo.
There seems to be many people who believe that I am only thinking about myself and suppressing my thoughts after receiving money. That is not true. I have witnessed the tears of CEO Shin Joohak yesterday. This all happened within a day? No. This is the result of oppression that has spanned over years. Am I avoiding anything? No. This is merely a ceasefire.
I might not be able to.. provide you with the explosive revelation that you all wanted.. but you were able to have an insight.. into my perspective.. as I had to carry all these burdens. What I’m trying to say is, if you are going to help, please help properly…
I wonder why he is only capable of spectating and fueling the fire. Why do you not think of the family who has to watch the fight from both our sides, why..? How am I supposed to stay still when my friend is getting hurt.. There was no one willing to bravely volunteer to fight for them at the time.
Let’s just say… I did start this war like you all are saying. I’ll do the dirty work but can you all confidently say that you guys will be on my side until the end? I’ll decide after seeing your trust in me. Don’t leave comments on web portal sites anymore and comment on my Twitter with your name and number if you’re willing to stay on my side.
If you’re going to be on the same ship, stay on it..
I’ll take care of this matter regarding your belief in me.
I’ll start a war like you all are saying.
But in return, please show how many people are believing in me, move my heart. If you are saying you really want to help.. I’m counting on you guys.

Well this kinda answers everyone's questions about how/why it was solved so quickly but it's still very confusing and he sounds so desperate here. And does he plan on calling the fans or what... also, sorry if I'm basically spamming this comm with nothing but junyoung news - I just want as many people to know about this and support him ;_;

Date: 2014-09-22 11:24 am (UTC)Why do people always insist on using flowery language in situations like these in the first place. It only brings about misunderstandings. Say what you want to say and don't beat around the bush.

Date: 2014-09-22 02:25 pm (UTC)Idk when I look at random articles on my native language I always feel the way they speak is sooo different from english native speakers. Like they'd never just write one sentence, they need a whole text with nice expressions to get to the point lol

Date: 2014-09-22 02:31 pm (UTC)I've just learned while studying Japanese that the more roundabout you talk about something, the more polite it is. Now I don't know Korean much, but from what I've heard they might have a similar approach to politeness, and since this is kind of an "official" announcement to the public, it might make sense for him to use such indirect speech.
It's still frustrating to understand.

Date: 2014-09-22 12:14 pm (UTC)I'm trying to ignore what other fandoms are saying about how Kris or Block B had it worse because it led to lawsuits. I hate that this has turned into a competition of who suffered more and I feel like it takes away from the basis of his whole twitter breakdown.

Date: 2014-09-22 11:48 am (UTC)also mte at the comment above! i repeatedly tweeted to my tlist to help trend, but no one, apart from one of my close friends and my bf, bothered to actively tweet. what was extremely frustrating was that half my tlist usually retweets pics of animal abuse and starving children and yet they did nothing to help junyoung, even though i repeatedly tweeted that the idols were abused. sometimes i'm really disappointed in humanity :(
i'm glad that they've sort of worked it out for now but i'm really afraid that they're just placating him and that this isn't over yet. their ceo is so manipulative, i'm really worried for junyoung and his loved ones bc it's very possible that the ceo threatened him. sighs i really wish junyoung reads the tweets we've been sending to him, he needs to know that we're all here for him and that we believe in him ;;;;;;;;;
(sorry for the long and rambly comment... i've refrained from commenting on the previous posts bc i was too emotional yesterday but i just want to thank you for the posts op! don't apologise, more people really need to know about this...)

Date: 2014-09-22 12:25 pm (UTC)It's so frustrating to not know if our tweets are making a difference. It does seem like he reads them but I just feel like so much more can be done yet at the same time everything feels like it's for naught. Junyoung doubts himself so much so I really want him to know that even international fans are aware of this. It may seem petty and a really small gesture but if fans can help trend birthday hashtags why not this?
and np, I'm glad the constant updates are of some help! :-)

Date: 2014-09-22 12:43 pm (UTC)i wish there was some way we could privately contact him and offer him some words of support (or even a hug!) :( also, it's definitely not a petty or small gesture! i've seen people from other fandoms tweeting that although they don't know ze:a, they're still supporting junyoung, and it's really heartwarming to know that we managed to spread the word, even if only a little bit. :')
i'm just worried that junyoung's going to break eventually, all this pressure on him isn't going to do him any good ;;;;;;;;; i hope he gets some sort of counselling soon, he really needs the encouragement and support :(

Date: 2014-09-22 12:56 pm (UTC)He seems really close to his family so I kinda wish he'd shut his phone off and hibernate at home for a while where he'll most definitely been surrounded by loved ones. But he definitely needs counselling. It can't be healthy to harbour such strong feelings and endure abuse for years with no one to talk to because his members are in the same mess he is.

Date: 2014-09-22 12:28 pm (UTC)side note, he sounds like he's starting to crack at the edges. i hope he gets SOME sort of mental health help. :(
EDIT:: plz continue to post updates, bc this is more important than "oppa/unnie dyed his/her hair!" i want to keep an eye on this situation, & def don't want to give *llkpoop the hits.

Date: 2014-09-22 12:36 pm (UTC)Does he actually want us to tweet him our name and number, what about privacy issues etc?
I'm kind of confused as who he's talking to, us the fans or people in general?

Date: 2014-09-22 04:54 pm (UTC)Example:
English: I'm rooting for you. Please continue to hold steady. Fighting!
I send it through both translators and see if they are the same (or very similar). After that I actually translate the translation. If it's mostly the same in both, (like maybe the hold steady part will be "Hold strong" or something) In this case it didn't change at all.
TL;DR: Think like a translation sounds. Be formal. Double check. Fix. Repeat.
It's also helpful if you know some Korean.

Date: 2014-09-22 08:19 pm (UTC)Reading through paragraphs that have been translated and seem to dance around the point is not helping shed light on the situation either (for me). I don't think it's fair to blame fans who don't know wtf to do to help with this. I don't use Naver or any of the sites that he would probably want this to show up on...I'm NOT going to publicly tweet my name and phn# (what the what?) so unless someone starts a hashtag campaign, I'm not really sure what ya'll want int'l fans to do? But if someone has some suggestions (besides sending him name/phn#) I'm all ears.

Date: 2014-09-22 09:05 pm (UTC)**Well, maybe not asking for phone numbers - twitter handles should be enough in case he needs to contact his supporters. I think the point here is just to get a headcount, though, so when he goes back to negotiate with his company he can say "X many fans support me, how many are going to support you?" and increase his leverage that way. Political canvassing works the same way, believe it or not. He should provide an address or PO Box and have fans send in letters if he really wants to show SE how much support he's got.

Date: 2014-09-23 03:03 am (UTC)1. Junyoung talks about wanting to leave SE at their fanmeeting back in August and that's when everyone started worrying about the state of the group/company x (http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/14036112.html)
2. After Taehun's MMA debut where he broke his nose, they were forced to go to Japan because SE had scheduled a fanmeeting there - something that didn't seem to sit well with the members or fans. Everyone was on edge since SE wasn't updating about Taehun's condition at all and Junyoung started going on a twitter rant from around that time x (http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/14205781.html?thread=1229848405#t1229848405)
3. Things seemed to have settled down until a few days ago where he had that breakdown on twitter x (http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/14205781.html#comments#comments)
So basically he openly called out SE's CEO on his ill-treatment of them and talks about being mentally and physically abused by him. It's suspected that they were trying to erase this from Korean portal sites so Junyoung pretty much begged that everyone constantly search about this so that people would know what they've been through and told other companies to not poke their noses into it because he has dirt on them too.
The issue was seemingly resolved overnight after a meeting with the CEO but while most people don't buy it and thinks the company is shutting ZE:A up, some have already turned their backs on him and think he's doing this for money.
It's been quiet for almost 20 hours now so I'm not sure what's the latest development on things.
