BIG BANG’S SEUNGRI RECOVERING FROM CAR ACCIDENT; CAR REPORTED TO HAVE FLIPPED OVER

On September 12th, it was reported that Big Bang’s Seungri was involved in a car accident, which happened at around 03:30 AM.

It was stated that the Porsche Seungri was driving collided with another vehicle, described to be a Mercedes, in the next lane, causing the car to flip over after hitting the guard rails. The two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining mild injuries. Seungri was able to go home following treatment after the accident.

The police are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.

Seungri was last seen at the launch of YG Entertainment’s “NONA9ON” together with the rest of Big Bang.

Edit: In a short statement, Yongsan Police Station cites that Seungri was driving the car, alone, but clarifies that he wasn’t in a state of intoxication. They have explained that the cause is still unknown and are looking into the possibility of overspeeding. (source: koreaboo)

I left my body for a moment there because all I saw was Seungri, accident, and flipped over. I'm glad no one is hurt, so glad.

tbh the first time I read the news the word "recovering" totally didn't register in my brain and I thought "sh*t, no, please, not again"
but then I calmed down long enough to realize things were actually okay and I was like "oh thank god"

I drive in Japan and the speed limits on highways are here around 70-80 km/h (44-50 mph), so speeding is kinda a given because driving that slow on a highway is ridiculous. But looking at Korea, the speed limits on the highway can go up top 120 km\h (around 75 mph) so to be speeding on top of that? That's just entirely reckless, thank goodness he wasn't drunk on top of it, bc then I'd have to disown him.

it's kinda sketchy because i think it's only yg that claims seungri wasn't drunk driving and there's conflicting reports about whether you get texted for bac at the scene of the accident or at the hospital. if he already got tested at the scene of the accident it's fine but if he got off the ambulance before he reached the hospital and the police... mmmm...
