I hate that this song happened to them. yet another basic af brave bros song. I think the worst thing about this song (and all his songs) is that everyone has to sing in that particular breath-y/air-y/whatever way. you could put all his songs in one cd and ppl wouldn't be able to tell that they're sung by different ppl. basically: a big disappointment, which is exactly what I was expecting when I heard brave fucking bros was behind the song

ia about his songs all sounding the same but at the same time I'm just happy that there's 1) no unnecessary rap break 2) the line distribution is pretty equal 3) Narae gets that line in the chorus that shows off her voice 4) Juhyun gets to SING ACTUAL VERSES. so considering how it could be way worse...... Im so disappointed in this release. These are my girls and I hate how they stooped to the lets be sexy to get more fans. Idk it does not fel authentic with these ladies. They dont sell sexy well. This, like every brave brothers song since 'Alone', sounds like every other brave brothers sound. how is this ALLOWED TO HAPPEN?!

I think it would be just fine without the more obviously recycled bits at the top of both verses - those melodies are simply just being put in different keys - but they look and sound great so I'll learn to ignore it as this might be one of my favorite versions of 'Alone' so far.

This reminds me of One Way Love.
For me it's not the song that is the issue, it's them. I personally don't think the song is bad, they don't do much with it. Like the song may be eh, but at least have some spark and believe the ish you singing.
I like Spica, but they can't rely on two members to bring the excitement all the time, and with one of said members not here, they got to step up their game.
The performance felt choppy and slightly awkward at some points. Then they hit the chorus and it works out.

THEY'RE JUST SO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS, WORLD!! *SOB*....sorry, these awesome girls bring out the dramatic in me. The song doesn't deserve them, their outfits don't deserve them (you know it's bad when in spite of how gorgeous they are they got blend in with the dancers--give them bright red lips or something if you gonna do the whole black thing,coordi noona/oppa!) and the choreo =/ I mean my babes are not good dancers but they can bring it and the whole thing is just so lackluster to me.

I really think Spica can do a grown up sexy concept ala BEG since Jiwon is a natural at it, Narae is a chameleon, Bohyung has a coquettish sex kitten thing going on if explore more and Juhuyn looks like that so nothing she does will look bad, but they just need a team that know how to style/produce them in that way.

I don't hate Brave Bros all the time... and I feel I will like this song. Even if it sounds a bit (a lot ?) like Alone and a billion other songs. And compared to Alone by the way, they aren't as much breathy here ? And everyone gets to sing, and the rap part doesn't sounds like it's a completely different song. I'm not so negative lol
I hope the next performance will be better. They were a bit awkward from time to time. But there's potential !

I watched the MCountdown stage live and hated it. So much so that I stayed away from kpop forums for the until today. I watched the MV and the Music Bank performance and it was very much improved and I'm now ok with the song but I'm still not anywhere near loving it, It would be an alright song for a normal run of the mill kpop girl group but it is a serious waste of SPICA's talent. The amount of backtrack that is used is criminal but I know it has to be that way because of the Brave Brothers "sound".

That leads me to something that I find even more disturbing, and that is SPICA's return to the "digital" sound. I thought they finally found an identity that set the apart from everyone else, especially in kpop, and that was that they did away with autotune and heavy backup tracks. I kinda gave them a pass on "I Did It" because they were singing in English but it seems they are indeed going back to it. Why their company and music producers find it necessary to take one of the most talented vocal girl groups and make them sound like everyone else is beyond me.

And my last gripe is the "surprise" debut on M! Countdown. Why would B2M have them perform the day before the scheduled debut when no one knew, and not even give their fans a chance to be there to cheer them on is lost on me. And then to still wait almost a whole day before debuting the MV, leaving everyone to get their first impression of the song from that performance AND take way views from the MV seems absolutely stupid.

B2M, and even ASA Music, have this thing about keeping everything SPICA related a secret and it only makes it harder for us fans to be able to support them.

I've noticed other artists doing the same recently, e.g. Hyuna performing Red on several shows before the actual MV dropped. just another way of drumming up hype for the actual MV release I suppose, but B2M's marketing is way too weak for that to work imo. hell, on every Spica.S-related video there's at least one question asking where Boa is/did Boa leave/why is this a sub-unit when it's 4/5 members.

there were fans at MCD btw (my friends were at the recording) but there were only four Mercuries admitted into MCD's live show through their fancafe. fanchants started yesterday on Music Bank though.

I agree with your last line.. I don't know if they're being secretive on purpose or just plain suck at PR and communicating with fans. the LA thing was the worst - no schedules were posted anywhere and a bunch of us (none of us live in the US) had to reach out directly to the venues and event organisers to find out details to circulate on Twitter/Tumblr/Facebook.... Spica.S(laves) are us -_-
