This was so painfully awkward lol. I seriously cringed at some of the requests of the fans, they were so...typical idk. You could say he was uncomfortable with the aegyo thing, especially :/. But at least this time he tried a bit more than when he guested with SHINee. He literally didn't give a shit and spaced all the time.

Idk? I think they could have tried at least something more original/out of the norm than the typical "do aegyo for me", "give me a flying kiss", "dance for me". Not saying they should have asked him anything too risky/edgy but at least not the typical 14 y/o fangirl questions. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if SM manipulated that too.

I don't even think it's an SM thing. My impression is that it's pretty common for agencies/managers to vet questions.

Ugh I am so upset. He was only able to stay for 30 mins so they only picked people who had bs requests with no substance to them. Aegyo request really? What a wasted opportunity most of these girls had. And he looked so disappointed with some of their requests as well like a "really this shit again" ridiculous.
Then again the people on this show always give me second hand embarrassment I usually skip watching the hangouts all together.
It was awkward but I feel like awkwardness is part of Taemin's charm. I am happy he tried though he must have been stressed having to do back to back schedules. The behind the scenes footage is funny.

Lol exactly. He's using this solo to get rid off the cute maknae image he's been sporting since debut but it seems that people just can't let that image go and accept he's a grown ass guy now. Well the reason why I am bitter is because I signed up for the hangout myself. I provided thought provoking different questions and requests from the norm. However because of the time constraint they were just get quick easy to do questions choosen. Which is understandable, it just sucks cause it was a missed opportunity to get something new and fresh from Taemin.

Yes it is easy to say you wouldn't ask those kinds of questions cause your just watching I understand that logic however, I specifically wrote on my application I would not ask for aegyo etc. so that is why I am bitter.

In other words don't take anything i say in this thread personally or that I am upset at the fans etc. It just sucks that the opportunity was missed and that this kid has to do and say the same shit every time regardless of it is SM or the fans asking.

Mte. The fans were likable and all, but the questions are just the same old shit and it's boring. Idg the point of SM giving him a solo to show a different and more mature side of him if they're gonna keep pushing the usual image of him anyway.
