I watched 1 eps of The 100 and liked it, but forgot to go back and watch more (oop).
I (used to) love Vampire Diaries, but last season I just tuned out...same with the 2nd half of The Originals.
I'm gonna stay hopeful though!

But yea TVD has been a mess since season 3 or 4...everything just kind of scrambles together, no one stays dead, and the plot...sighs...kind of how the books ended up tbh.

I haven't had the pleasure of interacting with the TVD fandom, but I can only imagine.

In series 3 the main writer left and then a dimwitted writer took over and thus the show turned in to a plotless, shambles. As for the fans, apparently Damon can do no wrong in their eyes and him and Elena are apparently a good couple. And the shit they come up with to justify Damon's behaviour is ridiculous. Ugh I like noone on that show anymore. I quit it.

That is one thing I do enjoy about kdramas; a definite ending is in place, instead of dragging a show on 4 seasons longer than it needs to.

Oh god, Ian Somerhsdlkfsjfl is hot and all, but his character is definitely a BAD guy. He's a complete self-serving narcissist. But he's hot, so it's okay? Not surprised.

When they killed off Bonnie I was pm done. I do want to finish the series tho. But I'll just wait til it's on Netflix so I can FF through most of the eps.

She was supposedly dead/dead/dead and appearing as a ghost, but then passed over for good? I heard there was some mess/problematic shit said about her character from the writer so idk. I would like them to bring her back, if they beef up her part more. Rather watch her than Elena's flaky ass or the blonde.

Oh, okay. I did read the Sookie Stackhouse novels too... I ended up just watching the show after the first book though tbh. The books weren't as good as I'd hoped so, I figured the show would make up for it. It's a decent show from what I've been seeing.

Charlaine Harris is not a great writer tbh. But books 1 & 2 are pm seasons 1 & 2 of True Blood, after that...A.Ball went his own way (which is good and bad - for me since I read most of the series), keeping SOME stuff from the books but not a whole lot. After book 4 though, you could tell Harris didn't really want to continue writing, but by then iirc she was already being approached about the series so she knew she had to continue. After book 7 it's just completely down hill, 136 pages of repetitive information and about 5 pages of plot movement. She even said during a panel or interview that she really had lost interest in Sookie and Bon Temp; but she was under contract to put out more.

The series I have mixed feelings about. It's pretty good, but the gratuitous sex and dragging out plots, or not including plots from the book that would've been really interesting to watch play out, only to substitute them for more sex, it gets boring really fast. I was actually happy that this past season was the last.

It does feel like they put a bit of unnecessary sex in there.. I would take an entire series that was well thought out with no sex than one that isn't. I haven't watched the new season because I hadn't had time. Now that the dramas I was watching have ended, I can get around to it. Maybe then, we could discuss it? You'll have to forgive me. I like discussing fics and series with people because my irl friends don't read or watch the same things.

That's true. It felt like some of the parts of the books were fillers because she couldn't figure out what else to say. Smh... Like, why would you waste more time describing characters or plot devices that your readers are already familiar with? I don't get it. It's part of the problem I had with Twilight. Too much useless description. I don't need at that...

My friends doesn't watch k-dramas either. And my sister is so busy with her studies too (we used to watch kdramas together) so what I did is that I just post my thought on the dramas on Tumblr. The things about kdramas is that if you found someone irl that actually watch kdramas, they watch kdramas that you thought was embarrassing and crap (ie BOF or The Heirs). Can't they watch quality kdramas that are worth to flail and discussed over. >.>

What's so bad is that they actually liked The Heirs... I hated it... I only watched it for Park Shin Hye and that wasn't even enough to keep my interest. I give a drama an episode to make me want to continue watching it. I barely got through BOF... I regret it so much.

My top 5 are: Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Who Are You(the one with Taec), Hotel King, My Girl, and The Moon That Embraces The Sun. They aren't in a particular order but, I loved those! What are yours?

My top five are:
1) I'm Sorry I Love You (Amazing drama! Made me cry a river and remains a classic to many kdramas lovers.)
2) Fated to Love You (This drama is beyond amazing -- super hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. :D)
3) The Princess' Man (Unpredictable and amazingly written. The writer did everything right in this drama)
4) Yi San & Jumong (Historical dramas but super addicting despite the gazillion episodes hehe)
5) Gaksital & City Hunter (Put me on the edge in every episode and I always like good guys versus corrupted/bad officers)

Special mention; Secret since that drama without a doubt the best drama from last year. :DD

As you can see, with the exception of FTLY, I like heavy dramas in general. I also enjoy TMTETS but many people didnt seemed to enjoy that one unfortunately.. :*(

I am! I was initially going to check out Roommate just because he wss on it. Though from what I've heard, that show is hella boring so, I'm not gonna watch it. Lol!
I need to watch I'm Sorry I Love You. It's a tear-jerker too? Sign me up! I love Fated To Love You! In watched it in Taiwanese years ago and I was so thrilled when I heard they were doing a remake! Unpopular opinion but, I am enjoying the Korean one a bit more because it's a funnier and the actress that plays the female lead is so pretty!

Better save your time by watching kdramas than watching roomate. It is 2 hours long every week and I dont think it really worth anyone time tbh.

You got to watch I'm Sorry I Love You (MiSa). Its basically the most heartbreaking dramas ever. The writer is insane to do things that really break you while watching the story. I think if I remember any of the heartbreaking scenes in the drama, it can still bring tears to my eyes since it is seriously sad. The drama remains favourite to many even among k-celebs themselves. I think I watched it 10 years ago but still no other dramas can beat that one hehe.

Actually, when I say FTLY, I mean the kdrama remake since I havent watch the T-version one though I have it in my harddisk. Many people who have watched both versions said the k-version is far more superior as early as the first 2 episodes. ^^v I hate k-romcom in general but this drama is AMAZING sooooo AMAZING. I have so much withdrawal watching every week's episodes that I spent time making gifs of the drama while waiting for new episodes. 8D;;

The Princess' Man is amazing! Both the writing, acting and directing plus the ending is awesome. :D Much much better than TMTETS so since you love TMTETS, you gonna love this one for sure!

I started Hotel King, but only go through 1 eps before my stupid computer wouldn't work anymore. It's on my list to start watching again after I finish Fated to Love You.

None of my IRL friends are interested in anything SK related. They think I'm weird and just don't get how or why I listen to music/watch movies/dramas in another language T_T So I'm always up for discussion.

The plot is weak, it's full of cliché, the acting is average at best, historically it's a mess (but as Adelaide said, CW is not the history channel)

Tbh, when I first heard Good Doctor's premise, it sounded like an American show more than a Kdrama. I feel like the broadcast networks are just scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas at this point. And CBS is the laziest and most conservative of the major networks, so of course they would do another fucking medical/procedural-type show with a "difficult" protagonist that the supporting characters learn to accommodate because of his outside-the-box thinking/genius. Never seen that one before!

I wonder why Daniel Dae Kim and other Korean-American actors/directors/producers are now in the business of getting Korean shows licensed for white-washed American remakes....

There has to be some kind of "twist" or something that is unique to this show? Otherwise CBS is really fucking stupid to pay licensing fees for a medical procedural which they can develop themselves.
