Song Gayeon to Leave Roommate

Song Ga Yeon will be leaving SBS′ Roommates.

On August 27, Park Sang Hyuk PD of Roommates told Newsen, "Song Ga Yeon will be leaving Roommates. She wants to focus on her sport."

With Song Ga Yeon′s exit from the program, which followed 2NE1′s Park Bom and Lee So Ra′s leaving, Room Number One will now be empty.

Park Sang Hyuk PD continued, "There′s still some footage left, and their stories will air until mid-September."

With all the members of Room Number One out, new roommates will be moving in. Park Sang Hyuk PD stated, "We′ll be casting new female roommates. We haven′t decided anything yet."

Meanwhile, Song Ga Yeon recently showed her debut as a MMA fighter on Roommates.

when Sora left I thought: Gayeon is gonna be alone, what will they do? will they make Nana and Soohyun change rooms? like, if she has to share her room with new people it may feels strange. so it was expected.
now I'm really wondering if all of them will leave... I hope no. since they were focusing on some members, we almost know nothing about the others.
Minwoo will be the next one maybe? because we almost never see him :(

This show had such potential but it kept losing cast and ratings.

This show should've been cancelled ages ago, but I guess they have to keep it going until mid-November (when Kpop Star usually starts). With Room 1 footage until mid-September, they just need to hang in there for 2 more months.
If Roommates returns in the Spring (why would you, SBS?), it really needs a new PD and editing team as the show did have the potential to be interesting, but all we've been getting is filler content. I gave up on the show after 7 eps, because it honestly feels like I'm watching a b-cut.

everytime i see "OC" i think of the show on WB/CW then i think of laguna beach/the hills.

i'm more surprised with SBS considering a second season to this show. unless they have a new PD and crew, it doesn't make any sense. roommate has low ratings and doesn't have a fanbase to support it, like running man.

I don't like it, but who knows maybe if the add new people things will get more interesting? Well it depends on the people obvs but still.

Sigh, i had such high expectations when the show was announced. Ngl i'll keep watching cause i'm attached to some of them, but i wish this whole thing had turned out better.
